Official Jon Gruden Thread VII

Guys, if you have been following this saga since Gruden I, you know that I have been saying Gruden coming to UT was a real possibility. I've been here for the highs and lows. I have been cautious- very cautious actually. I have very recently heard from several folks that I have been in contact with throughout this ordeal and others that have been getting information from different places. They have been scary accurate with what they have told me. I have complete trust in and respect for these individuals- great folks. They have been cautious as well. However, things have changed and for the better over the last two days. I got all that I needed, and in spite of my normal cautiousness, I'm with Lex, Boro, and all the other OG's that's gone all in:

WE GOT HIM!

I have nothing on a timeline. Not trying to be a jerk, but I don't care about a timeline. The most important item is that based on what I have been told, UT Football will soon have a man at the helm capable of resurrecting us from the ashes. It probably won't happen overnight, but we will shortly have someone worthy of our faith in the UT Football program. Before long, we will have a guy that is relentless in his pursuit of excellence. In summation, we will forthwith have a coach worthy of the title of Head Football Coach at The University of Tennesse. We have been down in the recent past- way down, but the worm is turning. The college football world (the SEC in particular) better prepare it's anus. Tennessee is coming back soon.....and hell's coming with us.

Haters, doubters, "real insiders", Dooley apologists, Duck Meat, or whoever, can keep on keeping on if that's your thing. I don't care what you think. Nothing can take away my immense joy at this moment because it would take a Myanesque apocalypse to prevent Jon Gruden from being the next head football coach at The University of Tennessee. As my dad used to say "If you're mad, might as well scratch your hind-end and get glad." It's done. Others can believe it or not. :hi:

Your going to give an old man heart palipations....thats Ok I need it!

I wish I could like this more than once. Been lurking since the first thread and couldn't keep away. If Gruden unites the fan base the way he has in these threads, we're in for a treat. Thanks to all the guys who've shared info and gave us hope. I kinda hope they don't move this to the main forum when it goes down. This has been a fun place to hang out

All this talk about the media leaking it tomorrow doesn't match the timeline talked about here. If the media is the puppets many claim on here I assume we will hear much louder denials tommorrow morning!
For once you and I tend to agree.....its why I cautioned against moodswings.

whats your opinion on the situation?

I am 50/50 but growing. Mortenson really puts me headed in the its going to happen camp. It's hard not to believe jay and the others.

I don't believe EA is a puppet for Dave hart. If he says tommorrow he doesn't think it happens he believes it.

Read the cliff notes. I have to be honest...it was all I could do and contain my excitement long enough to not post in that thread and come over here. My thanks to all the insiders that have shared their info. That includes Littledto, OV74, Boro, Jay, Bcarter, and our cheerleaders Patti and Smokey. I sincerely hope I haven't left anyone out. They have given volnation hope during out darkest hour. While nothing is official it appears we have ourselves a real coach!

:cheer:

whats your opinion on the situation?

Did the Vol side of the negotiations come to you and say that Gruden's last demand before he would come to UT was to have your genuine hand carved cherry oak desk as part of the deal?

If so, then evidently you are the man. :)

I'm excited for a rebuilding of the defense with some beast athletes, and developing some of the young guys we already have. I think Raheem Morris would make a great DC and recruit amazingly well. If he leaves in a couple of years for a coaching gig, a young hungry defensive assistant would take his place.

Trying not to dream of too many possibilities. . . .

This is awesome, except the anus part. Thats just nasty.

Cp gone regardless cause of grades but someone rwported bray and hunter would most likely return if the gru happened ur thoughts?

Brays dad said if dooley was here no way he returns. Tylers dad said dooley and Bray can't stand each other. Tylers dad said if Gruden did come he would very seriously think about staying. As low as Brays NFL Stock has dropped last few weeks I bet those chances are much better in staying now.

One of the dumbasses on Grudenville actually claimed we're mimicking them.

Pretty sure that site has been up for like a week and he already has 800 posts.

He has 130 posts per day.

I bet that guy is a reliable source. Probably sitting in his mothers basement. Clear as day he has no job or life given how much he posts.
