Makes sense now.
I've always said that they would make Gruden tell them no before moving on to other candidates. I've also said that I believe he will, ultimately, tell us no.
What you have to remember about Gruden is this: He's been in "final" negotiations with three NFL teams and a college team in the last three years, and he's still on Monday Night Football. On previous occasions, we're heard similar reports that he had contacted other coaches to join him on a possible staff for a job he was considering (the Dolphins last year being the most prominent).
I'd love for him to be here, and the "storm clouds" are continuing to gather with people that say it's going to happen. But I also know UT representatives have been in contact with at least three other candidates as recently as yesterday.
Based on things that have happened in previous years around Gruden and NFL jobs, I won't believe that he is coming until the press conference.
Have you gotten the "I wish you cared about me as much as that stupid coach rumor" speech yet?My wife was in a bad mood last night, and as I looked away From my phone I asked, "what's wrong baby?"
She said,"you're always on that damn phone."
I said, "ok"
I then handed her the mason jar of peach shine (store bought)
I may cry it depends on how bad of an ass whipping I take when I rub my ba!!s on my neighbors Florida Gator flag that is on their front porch.
Talking about cutting off your nose to spite your face: I might literally micturate on a signed Tebow jersey that hangs up in my wife's office.
Yes, it is on the opposite end of the house from my office that is all UT.
I got 2 months of reading everything I could find on the internet and watching TV and listen to BS from people. Lets see that 7 days a week, at at least 35 hours a week. The way I see if Gruden don't come he owes us all alot of dang money for the work we been doing on research and listening to some idiots on the radio everyday that switch there stories every 3 days to yes to no to maybe.

Lex knows....
I feel like there are different levels of Internet progression...such as:
1)You walk into a board and lurk
2) you say a couple of stupid things, get hammered for it, and get offended
3)you run off crying like a little baby
4)come back with a new attitude (still soft yet a little thicker skinned)
5)then you get brave and start engaging dialogue
6) then this is where people start to make silly decisions....either trying to get e-cred or turning bitter at others
7)then you let go of your fears (unless your accused of being a TROLL!)
8) your learn how to filter info because you've been here Long enough to get to know the characters
9)and finally....you take everything with a grain of salt and enjoy the company!!!
Been there.............done that
