Easy to say when you haven't been down in the dumps for 5 years, and have 2 national championships to your name over the last 6.

UT is crazy if they pay that. No coach is worth that kind of money. Ever.

Even Basilio said the numbers being rumbled on the Gruden side are mind-boggling.

If true that is actually not that bad considering the money being paid to Sabin, Mack Brown, Brian Kelly, Chip Kelly, Bob Stoops and Les Miles.

With the decline in UT football's prestige the past decade or so, the Vols are on the path to becoming the team UF invites to play them on homecoming.

With Gruden in charge of the Vols, it becomes a rivalry.

They might be "scared" in the same way SEC fans were "scared" when Saban was hired. Gruden has the potential to be a gamechanger-that should elicit some fear from rival fan bases. Like South Carolina for one. Sorry, if TN gets Gruden their days are done-same with UGA, IMO. It will be back to Florida and TN in the East.

I don't understand how you can have a problem with paying coaches "Saban money." As you said, it's market driven.

Easy for me to say regardless of circumstance. We pay coaches, specifically football coaches, way too much money for what they do.

I don't care how much you are winning or losing. Paying someone 4-5 million dollars to coach a sport is overboard. Like I said, it's probably market-driven, but it's just sad we've gotten to that point in society where we don't care what we pay our coach if he is winning, but get frustrated when we find out our boss makes 100K and think "he/she is overpaid, not worth it." etc

Why would I lie to you Waco? I totally believe that if we get Gruden, we will own the East, will take a couple of recruiting classes.....that will come quickly if it all comes together as expected... but irrelevannt....No,

I think there will be hard fought battle for second place, and Florida will be right there......does that you feel better :birgits_giggle: :pepper:
