ask Stephen k24 British bs

Steph,
Why do y'all use the term "bloody"?
Is calling somebody a bloody wanker or bloody bastard worse than leaving it off.

Do Britons find it as annoying when non Britons try to effect a British accent as Southerners in the states do when non Southerners try to "tawk Suthern"?

You mean when someone takes the pizz out of a British accent? I don't mind, usually I find it funny because the person mocking it uses RP English, which nobody uses anymore, so it's always wrong...

Do you enjoy marmite? I tried that stuff at a buddies house who's mom is from England. It's wild.

I love marmite.

Keith moon is not my favourite rock drummer, Stan Lynch is.

Pizz is a way of saying urine without being starred. RP English stands for received pronoun citation. It's what the British public "recieved" when they listened to any news, radio or TV during the 40's and 50's. it was used because it was clear for everyone to understand, unlike certain accents. It's basically posh talk or queens English to you guys. It's the general stereotype for the English accent even though very few people actually speak that way anymore.
