Hopefully Hart is smart enough to get the right guy in place before making any public announcements. The current coach and the new coach can finish out whatever job they're on after the announcement and the recruits will know who the new coach is. If Hart can't do it that way we have the wrong AD. Personally I would love for Gruden to be the new coach but I think he would be dumb to give up that gravy job he has to start recruiting high school kids all the time and have to deal with boosters and fans.
Kingston I posted in a thread in the Ff that a former player with some ties to the ad told me monday also.I think your info is spot on sirJust a guess, with a little info. The snag will be working out buyouts with every staff member. But they won't have to do that til the new coach decides who to keep and who to send packing.
Tomorrow is the easiest day to do it. It becomes more difficult with each win, recruiting will hurt until the decision, and if we lose then everyone says, "Why didn't they just get it over with?"
When he learned our reserves were barely 2 million dollars, he about hit the floor. He said Bama's reserve was right at 100 million, a 98 million dollar difference. He understands what football means to SEC schools in terms of revenue, public perception, buyouts et. Hamilton was a great fund raiser, but terrible from a business perspective, Hart is the exact opposite from a business standpoint. Again, 100 million vs. 2 million, speaks volumes. What gives you such confidence in Hart? Was it the smooth way he handled the Pat Summit issue or what?
Okay here's my question on this whole coaching change.
If Dooley is relieved of his position tomorrow and let's say Gruden is the intended target can Gruden go ahead and be named coach before his deal with mnf is up?
Or will we be without a head coach for a month waiting on this to happen? If so what does that month do to recruiting?
I know Dooley being here or not a couple weeks will have no bearing on recruits but I'm concerned for the month that we have no coach.
Just curious guys.

Question #1: I don't think anybody knows for sure. I think he can but it has been said he wants to finish MNF, and i think he had rather wait until MNF is over. If he can be announced just the fact that he is coming would be enough to make kids wait until he could contact them.
Question #2: Recruiting would suffer for that month but then quickly recover if it is indeed Gruden. He wouldn't need much time to save the class. If its not Gruden then recruiting will suffer horribly. Which is why it would make sense for it to be Gruden if they don't announce anything soon. I refuse to believe they are so inept to not know that if they don't have Gruden on the hook they have to do it now.
