That is simple........ We still have a coach, Gruden does not want to be seen as the guy who pushed Dooley (who he likes) out of his job. UT does not want to be seen as conducting a coaching search while we still have a coach

okay, I understand to a point... but it seems to me that Dooley is the one who has pushed himself out the door, not the team, not Gruden and not the AD. Dooley, Dooley, Dooley..... the responsibility lies with him....or am I missing something????

Agree. Professional courtesy. It does exist within the coaching fraternity. My friend that I am quoting above said it best.

Silence means nothing. Sure it's possible it means gruden is waiting in the wings but its more logical it means nothing than an ad wanting to make sure he doesn't give his coach a vote of confidence and a coach that need his name out there

Is this whole Gruden thing still on schedule? I assume one of you will be announcing that there's a press conference this Monday.

It's possible to have a really ugly start to the tenure that way. Not at all worth it.

Ok. Maybe but the rest of the staff would remain intact. No chance he could esemble his own staff in time for a bowl game. If he lost I don't see that as any issue. As I have said earlier it would be about 2013 and after.!

Dooley will never take any responsibilty for HIS failures b/c it's always someone's fault, not his.

Okay. I understand but I still think that Dooley is the one who has done this to himself. I understand professional courtesy but I don't understand not taking responsibility for what is going on with the team.

So no presser again? We are just twisting and dangling in the wind for another week. This is ridiculous. Every person with a brain knows he is fired. Just put the fan base's minds at ease.
