Agreed on that point. If I was hart I would take the input of the captains after I let DD know what is happening. It would be their choice if DD is on the sidelines after the announcement I would make tommorrow. I suspect they would want DD on the sidelines

Sounds like we have a few debatable issues that can sway the scale back and forth...so we'll have to agree to disagree, with all due respect.

At some point, a physically abused child (our team) just doesn't feel anything anymore...physically. But the mentality becomes a very relevant hurdle. A clean cut, fast exit and new start can be good medicine to the future.

You say that UT isn't concerned with the local businesses and the economy, what about Pilot. I am pretty sure that a busy Saturday game day generates huge revenue for Pilot, which is one of if not the biggest boosters. Also, the corportate advertising space in Neyland is is sold on how many people see it which comes down to attendance.

Coaching with new coach is irrelevant. The main thing is to get the new coach in and on the recruiting trail immediately to fix our current recruiting disaster. Also to rerecruit the current players on the team we want to keep.

(What would Hammy do) fan apathy hit a historic low yesterday and if Dooley is at the helm we assuredly lose at Vandy. Maybe an interim in a very well liked Chaney would provide a spark, idk.

Or fire at the end of season, safest thing publicly I guess but all but guarantees no bowl.

I think those are the only 3 scenarios that are over 1% likely given the circumstances. I am thinking a little thought and discussion is likely to make the first stand out as the most sensible.

Heard something interesting from Doug Matthews this morning. Within the next year Gov. Haslam will be appointing 4 - 6 new members for the BOT. Hopefully we can get more of the right people this time.

Was watching the Sports Talk show on WBIR and someone called in professing his love for Dooley and giving a shoutout to him..Didn't know there were any fans that still supported him,this guy is probably in the 1% if that..He said that if you don't support Dooley then you're not a UT fan..As I was listening to this,my breakfast almost came up.:sick:
