LOSING MORE MONEY TO KEEP HIM. Sales on food, merchandise, and local economy like restaurants.

UT isnt concerned with restaurants and the local economy. Also, Aramark pays a flat fee at the beginning of the season to provide food service to UT. UT doesnt gain or lose money if people dont show up, Aramark loses money.

I just dont get the logic behind keeping DD for a run at a bowl game.
1. If he is worthy to be fired, then how could he be that much of an asset? I mean, if he hasnt earned right to coach next year, why let him coach 2 more games with possibly the most exciting offence we have had in ove a decade and prob will have in some time?
2. I am frightened that there could be someone in the AD that thinks he is neccessary to win one of next 2 games. I really dont want to jump on the guy or be mean or anything, but I just dont get it. Is it not the overwhelming sentiment that if has lost the team, then they would rally this week?

Gruden would be a total moron to leave his easy job paying $4.3 Million per year to come to Tennessee and coach in a situation that's almost a no win deal.

I just hope our big $$$ boosters and AD Hart can get a rock solid homerun hire and not set our program back for another 5 years or longer.

VFL...GBO!!!

At least this wasn't an eight paragraph job you are known for when you come trolling. Make sure you vote in the Dooley support poll on the football forum. Your boy needs some votes.

Believe it or not, there is a difference between wanting Dooley fired and believing Gruden is coming to UT. But you wouldnt know it on this thread.

Just because you dont buy into the Gruden hype doesnt mean you support Dooley.

Hopefully just a move to make DD renegotiate his buyout. Who knows but it sure does seem like its time for him to be gone. It does seem team would be better without him for the last two games.

Restaurants and other businesses in the local economy make donations to UT and if their business is down due to lower attendance so is their contributions. And if Aramark is down this year why would the pay the same flat fee for next year's contract knowing the revenues will be down. See it is connected and should concern UT.

As much as people want it, there is no doubt in my mind that Dooley will finish the season. I am nearing certainty the UT will not announce a change until after the Kentucky game. I am 50/50 that UT will even make a head coaching change and instead fire Sunseri.

It would take a moron to come into the Gruden thread calling Gruden a moron for coming to Tennessee.

Could you provide a link to Gruden's contract showing 4.3 million ESPN is paying him?

What happened to your Dooley campaign?
Were you mistaken?

Welcome back btw.

That's fair.

You cannot talk logic to illogical people. They are going to support Dooley to the end and make every agrument as to why he should not be fired. My only hope is that they follow him to his next team. If any other program is stupid enough to hire him.

That first line is golden! Well said Doyle!

Typically Aramark and UT agree to split a percent of sales. Both lose out when sales are down. This is how it works at LP field for sure.

Have not heard that amount

Billionaires nor millionaires give away money to a lost cause. (DD) Peyton would not be involved if it was not for a homerun hire and his friend Cut is not the motivation behind it.

Mornin Coasty, looks like the same ole same ole just a different day so far.

Well as we have been saying for a while now....SOON

Today I think Soon may be getting sooner

Agreed. Whom we hire is secondary for me. I want Dooley and co the eff out now. There are a dozen replacements I am fine with.

I really really want to believe (X-Files?). I really do. But all my common sense and experience is pointing to the realization that UT has done absolutely nothing about getting a new coach.

While 3 other teams in the SEC are looking for new coaches, not a single word has come out of the UTAD. And the only name even being mentioned for our job is Gruden. I find it very very hard to believe that UT would only have one coach in their sites to replace Dooley, since almost anyone would do better than him.

After hearing that Hart isnt sure he wants Dooley gone and the administration at UT is in disagreement I really believe nothing has been decided or is even under way.

You do realize they don't need a public service announcement to the fan base to be looking for a coach?

As far as only having one coach in their sites. He is the target, and Im sure they have other names on the list.

I don't think there are the disagreements that are perceived anymore. The picture has gotten a whole lot clearer as of late.
