I don't think people give Patterson enough credit. I hear this all the time about his recruiting. Bottom line, the guy wins at TCU.

Here is a fun fact to think about with Patterson. His teams have won at least 10 games in a season eight times. Only once have they failed to reach a bowl, in 2004. You can say he only gets 3 and 2 stars, but I don't expect 5 stars to go to TCU. Perhaps he would do better at a school with more to offer.

Don't get me wrong, I have looked at it from the same side, he's also competing for leftovers in Texas, but you can't argue that it's still a question mark, unlike Strong. Patterson is a better gameday coach though.

Wanting him to and thinking he should conflict me in my thoughts about it. I want him to stay, but in no way do I think he will or should. He has a gift and will be a top NFL QB in a few years. He and CP will kill the combine.

I think it's more hope than anything for me b/c he could improve so much(not that he's bad now) under Gruden.:yes:

Starting to hear from the people I want to hear it from to expect an announcement Monday. Unclear as to Dooley finishing the season or Chaney interim. Have now heard it from three different people that know a lot more than I. I do not think personally he finishes the season, could be wrong. There apparently was a new level if tension in the locker room after the game. Several people I know believe the straw was broken tonight.

Man I hope they are right. I think now less than 2% of anyone would react negatively. Hart made a good gamble leaving him to hang himself completely imo.

Delaying the announcement sounds like a positive for Gruden. Means that they're not gonna start the media circus for a coaching search, let Dooley go at the end of the year and bring in Gruden after the MNF season.

No, Strong has barely been beating Big East teams, this last game vs the cuse just kinda makes him a little more questionable. I retract the statement about Patterson though.
