It seems today served mainly to move the money to AD control (if I understood)... there was a post about by Hubbs that said Cheek now has a better understanding about the importance of the Ath Dept.
Most believe this was a good sign, some believe it meant little..

I see it a little diferent. I believe that UT has been on a mediocre to consitantly bad football team for 8-10 years. Sure we got the SEC championship a few times, but that was because the teams that drubbed us by 30 points in the season had a few e'ff ups along the way.
Things were more stable with Fulmer, and he had us on a rollercoaster. The kiffin/dooley time has made it worse. If we get another slacker coach, I think we will more or less waste another 3-5 years of staying in neutral or reverse. Then our next hire would have to try and get us up to par within 3-5 years. I mean, IMHO, it would only take one more screw up hire to literally set us back even further.
Next coach has got to be a homerun hire.
