Why we will lose to Mizzou

I think you're going a little overboard. Our offense has been horrible. Our defense has kept us close, except for Bama and SC. But, from all I have read, Franklin is pissed at his performance in the swamp. With our O-line playing well against FL, I think they will show up in the same mood. All in all, if I were a betting man, I wouldnt touch this game. We could play like sh^t, or play very well. I think we are in the same boat as yall. Don't know WTF to expect. Given all that, its at UT's place, so I would say that lends favor to UT. But I will be there no matter. Here's to a good game. :peace2:

Your first time in Neyland? In any case, welcome to Big Orange country.

1. They are an SEC school, and we can't seem to beat an sec school not named Vandy or KY.
2. It's just a bad matchup. Mizzou plays pretty good D. They held UF to 14 points and are in the top half of the sec in total D. Even more, they are 4th in the sec in pass defense - that spells trouble for our only strength on the entire team, our vertical pass offense. Sheldon Richardson is a beast and will pressure Bray into some bad throws - would'nt shock me if Bray has 2 pics in this game. Also, their offense isn't spectacular, but with our D on the field, I look for guys like Franklin and DGB to run like Usain Bolt in the open field. We will get gashed repeatedly and we won't be able to match them point for point.

Final prediction: 34-21 Mizzou

Their offense is ranked about he same as our defense. That's a wash. Our offense is ranked twice as high as their defense. We have the edge there. They are playing on the road. We have a slight edge there. We aren't gonna lose to Mizzou. It will be close however.

Vols 24-17

1. We haven't played them yet, so they could be added to that list of beatable sec schools especially since they aren't ranked.

2. Georgia held fla to 9pts, and we scored 44 on them. So, holding Fla might not be a good example.

3. Tiny and the rest of the offensive line are all beasts and will keep the pressure off of bray.

4. You've been on the hate wagon for months. You'll probably be the guy in black and gold at the game.

Vols win 35-17

What do you mean? turnout? or nicety?. I would assume it wouldnt be as bad, hatred wise. Us Mizzou folks are F'n saints compared to UGA fans. We don't fricking bark and spit at opposing teams like those leg humpers do. It should be a good atmosphere, looking forward to it. (Not looking forward to those tiny a$$ seats yall got though.)

Atmosphere. It is usually pretty wound up for an UGA game. This will seem tame to what you experienced before.

what is a beaker?

Hi Jackson, when I read that thread, I thought that maybe a container in one of the chemistry labs was doing something in photoshop. I know that sounds impossible, but as they used to say on Hee-Haw, "Sometimes truth is stranger than fiction..."

Here's hoping we see a great game on Saturday. GBO!!!

2009-2010 season, yes we got our ass handed to us, lol

Lol, just wondering.

No, if it was long enough I was going to point out that the fans "boo" more readily now...unfortunately, including our own band when they play the other team's fight song (it's supposed to be a sign of southern hospitality...so stupid that we boo that)

The hate wagon blew a tire, then was passed by the realism wagon. BTW, the homer wagon is lost because they refuse to look at the map.

I'm not sure Fade and I have been watching the same games this season.

With the exception of Alabama, we've moved the ball and scored against everyone we've played. Missouri's defense isn't bad, but it's not in the same category as Alabama, Georgia, SC or Florida. Sure they held Florida to 14 points. But Florida - like Notre Dame - isn't a strong offensive team. They rely heavily on their defense, and the offense does just enough to win games. Driskell seems to be regressing for whatever reason.

Yes, Sheldon Richardson is a talented pass rusher. So is Jadeveon Clowney. So is Jarvis Jones. So is basically everyone playing for Alabama. Our offensive line handled them all pretty admirably. I see no reason they can't do the same here.

I think it's strange to say that the vertical pass offense is the only strength of this offense. We've run the ball reasonably well since Florida (a game where I really think CJC learned an object lesson in the importance of committing to the run) and we seem to be getting better on a fairly consistent basis.

You'll get no argument from me that our defense isn't great. But James Franklin doesn't seem to be playing to the level he did earlier in the season, and they've now lost FIVE offensive linemen on the season.

All this is not to say that Tennessee will win this weekend - I've given up making predictions like that this year - but your analysis just seems divorced from reality.

Mods, the title of this thread alone deserves to be deleted and the video of the pitifully clad woman doing a nasty dance.. thought you asked people to NOT post scantily clad women.. now this one is doing a dance of sorts- more exploitation of women allowed on this evidently male driven board.. just not right..

Before the Fl game, we had lost 4. Britt hasnt been playing good lately. We are stepping up in that area.
