Correct me if I'm wrong but was Ainge not saying last week UT has to make the homerun hire , and now its I think we need someone solid. Then we are in position to go for the big hire later.

I thought Dooley was supposed to be our solid hire to get us in position for a big hire. I feel like we are teetering on the brink with this hire. It has to be a homerun, there is no other option.

Ainge is now being used as damage control. If Gruden deal is blown, many people in Ad will have egg on their face for holding it up two weeks ago. Got to make it look like it was a long shot from the beginning.
