So I see where there were 60k estimated for Troy. Is $50 per person too conservative a figure to account for lost ticket sales and concessions (with factoring in some who paid for tickets but did not go)?

45,000 x $50 a ticket= 2.25 million lost revenue for ONE game. Is this number too high or too low you think?

Bringing in Gruden immediately (about a .0001% chance of this happening of course)=full capacity, 4.5 million additional revenue for remaining two home games.... safe assumption?

And that was a home comming game. How can we afford to keep Dooley. I would say it was closer to 60,000 fans there than what they said. A big time coach would pay for his self in attendance.

Could also look at it as a way to get Dooley out.

Fill the stands, sell all the tickets so that they have the money to buyout Dooley, it also shows support to the team.

I honestly was thinking about going to the Troy game three to four weeks ago, but I decided to go camping instead. my decision was made because of lack of faith in Dooley honestly and company. I didn't want to spend 30 bucks on tickets, another 15-20 on concessions, not to mention gas, hotel, alcohol, etc... I wonder how many other people think the same way as me that its just not worth it to go to Neyland. I will still watch them on tv for free or listen to them on the radio but paying a lot of money to make a trip to see a dissapointing Vols team is just not on my agenda anymore.

believe it or not, i don't think the attendance is the huge money problem.

the problem is contributions made to the school and/or athletic program that dry up.

athletics drive alumni giving of all types. it's amazing how much more charitable people are when the team is winning

Bring General back if you want but we aint gonna fill Troy games !! Florida was sold out !!

Half accurate OP as far as ticket sales. He does have a point about the other. Empty seats can't buy concessions whether the tickets are purchased or not. Does the University make money off of on campus parking?

Empty stadium= less TV money as well. Espn doesnt want to show a game that its own fans dont even care about.

Pretty sure our TV money is tied up with the SEC. I think we all split the money. I don't know if we get PPV money or not. BTW.. I love your avi. I saw Jimmy Herring in Athens over the weekend. Can't wait for New Years Eve!
