I was told by a letterman that Fulmer had been mention as interim Ad if HArt should be dismissed... but not full time, ony until we get our man.... Charles White was also mentioned in same breath....

atthe time I chalked it up as former player wanting old coach but not real ????

If he is fired now I can hear ESPN and other sports media saying "UT fired Dooley even though he had a chance at a bowl game." Would think we would hear the axes chopping if we drop one to Mizzou, an SEC newcomer, but we will hear the tree fall for sure if we drop one to candy or both. Im saying he is done, its just a matter of how and when we hear about it.

He didn't comment when GQF brought up the fact that Gruden is still coming. I think Tony is just going to hammer the Dooley's gone angle today.

I don't think he really wants to comment on a search (or knows any new information).

I am just really deflated today, I think (my personal opinion) based on what is starting to come out that Gruden has given a definitive "no". I think it is due to a mixture of reasons including UTs academic policies, how truly bad it is esp with the defensive personnel, openings in the NFL, and the overall turmoil in all facets of our football program and how it relates to the AD as a whole. Not giving up hope, but cannot say any longer I feel like a Gruden hire is "likely".

This concerns me. I've been quietly watching and waiting, but carter is one of the handful of guys who I believe has good info. I think, given the state of our program, that it is very possible that Gruden (or any coach) could look at the situation and say "thanks, but no thanks." I will be very interested to hear if Boro, SBV, OV and the other guys hear anything along the same lines, of Gruden definitively turning down the job.

Not jumping off a cliff here, just monitoring the info as it comes in.

He must of read the previous post defining the word defense. He finally realized that D was indeed part of the game. Can someone there help him with defensive positions and assignments now.

For the defense: CDD says they are going to quit trying to fit a square peg in a round hole to take some pressure off of the players.

And then he said that there were some good things the defense did Saturday.

I actually don't think we are that far away from being competitive from a personnel standpoint. Can we get better? Absolutely we can. But I don't think we are completely devoid of talent right now, either.

I think the bigger problem is the (mis)management of the program by the administrators.
