Yep. Coaches want to get athletes in school. UT's admission requirements are now higher than anyone in conference sans possibly Vandy, iirc.

Or at least a "philosophical" change so to speak. I'm sorry but college ball is triple A NFL now, and if you want to compete, you will have to recruit SOME risky players. In other words, thugs.

Its time that we finally do.

Its not gonna come cheap, but I don't think that surprises anyone. UT has to find a special coach to eliminate the natural setbacks compared to the top teams.

Every team in the SEC in favor of keeping him.

I don't think I can immerse myself in the football forum once this is all over. Too irrational in their blind support for Doolz. Can we keep the Gruden thread going in perpetuity?

To add to some of the others:

Kiffin had as many SEC wins by this point in his season that Dooley has in his 3 seasons.

His inability to retain coaches

His lack of judgement on hiring coaches- Sunseri

We are USCe's biatch

We are Georgia's biatch

We are Florida's biatch

We are Alabama's biatch

We were Kentucky's biatch last year

could it be that cheeks since he is from fla. you think he could of raised the standards to hurt Tn ? i mean it did hurt Tn in recruiting.cheek has no ties to UT.

Honestly, the Gruden threads remind me of what VN was like when I first joined. Fun times. Debating the debacle that is derek dooley in FF is an exercise in futility.

Some would say the only reason is . . . money.

Bottom line: UT is quickly becoming irrelevant in the landscape of college football (halfway there already).

No offense but there is a huuuge problem with stories like this, in my view. If everything is hush, how do so many people who post on a message board have sources that break the silence? It makes no sense to me.

To be fair, nothing about this program makes sense to me anymore so it might be par for the course...
