Started in another thread, but aside from athletics the purpose of a land grant University is to provide opportunity for citizens of the state to get an education.

I'm not saying you have to sacrifice all your standards, but serving the interest of your state's population should absolutely come first.

Has anyone looked at the stats for the Offense? We are leading in receiving and Passing every week except the Bye week. Are they really going to get rid of Dooley, or just replace the Defensive coordinator?

My biggest complaint currently with Dooley is this. If the rumors are true that Sal doesn't listen to Dooley and blows him off when he makes suggestions, and Dooley does nothing to stop it. He has to be and deserves to be fired. You can't lead a football team and accept that kind of behavior from one of your assistants. Period.

Never have understood the dislike for casey....in thought he was pretty damn good and a tough sob..

He is the most underrated QB that has ever played at UT,IMO..He was money on the road and owned the Gators on their home field..Besides the Top Gun character, there's a reason that he was called the Iceman...He never got rattled when his back was against the wall and when the team was down..Most of the time he found a way to win.

I ragged on him because he shared Chaney's down and distance philosophy. Casey loved to throw the 20 yard out on third and 2. That being said, he was a damn good QB.
