Ha, google chip Kelly and look at the nicknames given for him.

Is this supposed to be negative? I googled Kelly and saw that he is number one in his conference every year, missed a national championship by 3 points and wins 87% of the time (43-6)

Yeah, we don't want no part of that :)

Huh? No, I googled him and the google profile that comes up at the top (at least on mobile) had Big Balls Chip listed as his number one nickname. Thought it was funny.

the game yesterday confirmed dooley will get canned. After yesterday there is NO way we will beat vandy at vandy or Mizz even. Hart will not and should not fire dooley off a homecoming win. People are insane to think Hart is just sitting there watching empty seats and crappy sun belt wins and NOT thinking of replacing dooley. As I type this im sure hart is negotiating with somebody or several people. Unfortunately it will take another hard loss and watching sal's D to confirm dooley will be fired hopefully that following monday. All of us are furious this keeps happening week to week but Im sure it will pay off in the end.

There is NO way hart is just hanging out, hes making moves, we just have to endure.

Mullen was gutted today.

What coach hasn't been? Miss St. has been exposed but they beat us with less talent. I'm impressed with what Mullen has done there, not sure I'd want him to be our coach, though 7-2 is better than 4-5, squeezing out a win over Troy :(

That is the worst Tennessee defense I've ever seen.

I understand everyone's emotion after this showing today. Times have been tough and the tough keeps getting tougher.

This I know for sure as my stance has never changed.

DD is done. He will not be the coach of our beloved Vols after the Kentucky game. A big hire will be made and Gruden will have to tell us no. Step back and realize the darkest hour is just before dawn.

thank you no one realizes this it can only get better after we lose one more of course

a defense giving up 721 total yds is just HORRENDOUS!!! when is the last time a school gave up that many total yds in ONE game??? I bet the team that did that lost the game too am I right?? 718 offensive yards isnt bad at all...Bray threw alot of TD in the game yesterday....does anyone know where he stands in the SEC in total TD?? I think he is still ahead of Murray of UGA....

:eek:lol:

Are you the same liar that's been hollering this nonsense about press conferences. You guys need to stop with the blatant LIES. So called inside scoops in the athletic departments. A lie is a lie no matter how you spin it.
First I am not a liar. Not in one of my posts have I said anything about a press conference except to call out a poster who claimed there was gonna be one. Now if you don't like what I'm posting don't read it. This place makes me crazy sometimes.

Read my other posts. I don't believe DD will be fired until after the season is over.

Here is who is gonna hear from us.
Gruden
Mullen
Strong
Patterson
Peterson Petrini and Tressel if A lot of others turn us down.

Good list minus Petrino and Tressel.

Pelini would not be a bad choice. Hugh Freeze would be another good choice.

FWIW, Dooley should have been fired after USCe so that a public search could be conducted. A new coach should have been announced after the last weekend of the season to allow the new HC to finish off this recruiting class.

We will have to double Gruden's money. He makes 4.3 mil now. Good luck getting Gruden. Better set your sights on somebody more affordable. Get off of Gruden's nutz. Hell give Petrino a second chance. He is about the only one in the country with SEC experience and was successful at it.

Very true.... I can assure you there are coaches that are being contacted by Hart to gauge interest. Hart realizes how important this hire will be for the future of Tenn football and I have full confidence in him.

There is really no good hire out there. We basically have no chance with Gruden. Overall, there is not a great hire out there who would want to come to Tennessee, and we can't take a chance on somebody who is not proven. For example, Strong may seem like a good hire on the surface, but he has squeaked by against horrible teams, and he has not recruited well. As of now, it seems like the best thing to do is to keep Dooley and bring in better coaches around him. We need coaches that can really recruit. The next move that Hart makes is absolutely crucial for the next 5-7 years of Tennessee's future.

I agree the next move for Hart is crucial. Because it is, you can forget about Dools being here next year. He can't motivate the team. He can't win games. His recruiting has fallen off every year he has been here. We need to land 2-3 kids just to catch Vandy currently. Sooner Hart announces a coaching search, the better.

There are TONS of great hires out there that we could get. People amaze me when they say that no one wants this job. We have te highest recruiting budget in the nation and some of, if not the best facilities as well! We also have good enough talent that if we hire a good coach he could win immediately with. This isn't 2010! We don't have 2 weeks till signing day! We will have coaches interested in this job if it comes available. We DO NOT HAVE TO SETTLE FOR DOOLEY! We can and we will do better.

Well I agree that changes need to be made quickly for the purpose of recruiting, but caution has to be taken. If another lousy hire is made, we will be back in the same boat.

I have seen alot of people throw his name out. What would lead people to think he would want to coach in college? Has he said he would consider it? While I think Gruden is a long shot at best, he has said he would consider coaching college ball if the right job opened up.

Considered LSU but turned it down because it was just his 2nd season at Jacksonville and hadn't realized he would have to play Peyton twice a season.
Turned down USC also not sure why.
Took a pay cut to go to Denver. Might like to get back to 3 mil a year.
who knows.
One of the best defensive minds in the game.
Losing record but (but played Peyton over 16 times) so did Saban and Spurrier.
His name would probably recruit defensive players big time with 25 years pro experience.
