I have a friend that subscribes to TOS. That site has been constantly dismissing the Gruden rumor. He calls me from time to time to see what this thread is saying. I think all their info comes from Hubbs who will not deal in rumor.

I don't know about zero chance, but there doesn't seem to be as much confidence about it being a possibility as there was Wednesday/Thursday of last week.

But I don't think any one knows for sure.

Yeah, Hubbs has been interesting to follow on the subject. I trust him the most of all the posters. I don't think he has an agenda, which helps.

I may be wrong but I have always looked at it this way. If an announcement is made that Dooley is fired, then we have our next coach locked in.

Could be, but it wouldent be Gruden in that case. By all accounts he wants to finish the season at mnf. There is no advantage to releasing Dooley now unless they want to publicly go on a coach search. Fans will get impatient but if it is Gruden in the end all will be forgiven.

That is the only explanation. If Gruden said no then Dooley would have been fired midseason and interim placed that way a coaching search could be formed. Gruden is our guy and I cant wait.

I had planned on going to that game in Eugene but I won't do it if this staff is in place next year. I can't take that much torture.

You have been a pretty staunch Dooley defender. It is much more hopeful and happy here.

A cold slice of Gruden sounds good right about now.

That's why I'm easy. I'm easy like a Sunday morning.

If we still have Dooley and Sunseri next season, playing Oregon at Oregon, they would score 70 points minimum. Start the damn firing NOW!!!!!
I don't know who Oregon has returning, but if they have their key guys back, hell they will score 70 the first half. They looked unstoppable last night, WOW.

You're wasting your time. They never address the statistics. Their mantra is the "process". They think that by repeatedly chanting it, Dooley will start winning football games.

Don't forget about the mess he inherited when, like a saint, he sacrificed himself and took the job.

I've defended Dooley. Just as I defended Kiffin and Fulmer. I'm a Vol apologist if you will. But all of those guys reached a point at which I wouldn't defend them any further. The way we were totally outclassed by Alabama was that point for me.

I think Gruden is our best option although I don't think he's the only man for the job.

Great name we named our 6 mos son Neyland.

I have another one coming at the end of April, don't know
what gender,probably won't find out...but been thinking
about that name for a boy also...

and Congrats on the birth of your child...

Gonna be awesome when Gruden brings in Raheem Morris to straighten out this defense and then talk our OL into coming back and his #1 recruit Derrick Green running behind them!!

I posted this yesterday, but it bears repeating.

He looks like such a pompous ass sitting on that damned stool.
God, I just want to knock him off of it!
