You are right. Battle's teams never looked like this. He suffered from lack of athletes but they were usually prepared.
Dooley has no freakin' clue how to prepare a team or coach up his players..He is totally clueless on EVERYTHING.
We have some talented players on this team and with Dooley as their coach, their talents are going to waste...Under Gruden, these players would thrive and look so much better and play their arses off for him.:twocents:
The press is NOT saying it, but seems they are hinting Dooley gone .... I think it is evident, just not announced jmho
That may be Harts way of buying time for reasons unknown to public... but well known to Gruden, MNF, ESPN, and the AD etc.
So it seems that after an initial flurry of contract and money talk things have quieted down. Seems to me this can be one of two things; Lack of interest/understanding and parting of ways, or agreement and not much left to discuss.
If talks with Gruden had fallen apart I suspect we would be hearing rumors of other coaches. You will recall in most other coaching searches (here and abroad) there are multiple running rumors about multiple coaches at any given time. This whole thing has been very unique in that talk has focused solely on Gruden.
Also consider that Gruden likely wants to finish the season at MNF.
That leaves two outcomes to this thing I believe.
1. Dooley will be kept or at the very least a decision has not yet been made to go in other directions.
2. This Gruden thing is close to actually happening.
The kick in the balls is that both of these scenarios will look exactly the same up through December. I think the worst thing that could happen is for Dooley to be terminated during the season which would suggest a full blown coaching search. Its going to be a long month.
