Hubbs also said that Gruden s staff "would have a tennessee feel to it" like there have already been staff decisions.

Some of it.

I do recall reading Hubbs saying Gruden was talking to possible staff members if he were to make the move.

Guess we will pray about it being a college staff tonight Doyle. God likely has much more important things to peruse, but by gosh I'm praying. Hope I don't piss him off.

Very well could be. But there would be a HUGE difference in personnel. Hopefully some of it leaks.

And that's the point! They said he was talking to Steele, Zook and other college guys. So I ask you, if you were going to the NFL would you be talking to mostly college guys? Hmm

All the naysayers say he is going back to NFL for several reasons, More money, easier work, ect. But I disagree, one there are no throwaway games in the pros( like tonight should have been), In the NFL he is at Best an Average to slightly above average coach and at TN he will be a "Rock Star" the day he sets foot on campus, and I think TN can put up the money, I mean how much money did they lose tonight in ticket sales.

Whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa

Whoa.

Whoa.

Whoa.

Did Hubbs really say Gruden was looking at a staff IF he made the jump to college?

As a result of the unknown from Hart, there is really nothing new in regards to the GQ's only choice for coach, Jon Gruden. That doesn't mean Gruden's interest level or anything has changed, but it kind of has a holding pattern feel at this point. Nonetheless, and while it's impossible to tell because Gruden isn't publicly saying anything specific in regards to the Tennessee job, he does seem to have legitimate interest in the job and there are those close to Gruden who continue to believe that if a change is made and Tennessee has a competitive offer sheet (read: greater than $5 million), it might be too much for Gruden to pass up. There are others who know Gruden who don't think he would come to the college game. And others who believe if somehow he did end up at Tennessee, then his staff would have a Vol feel to it.

--- Hubbs
Now tell me why he would be allowed to say this if this didn't have areal possibility!
