Does it bother anybody else that we got a guy that is bama through and through. It pisses me off. Were there no ut alums that were qualified? And it just figures we end up with sunsari as dc. He needs to act now. Get rid of Dooley and obviously sunsari and go throw 6 million at gruden

Hart has 8 years at East Carolina, 13 years at Florida State, and 3 years at Bama. So how exactly is he Bama through and through?

I don't think you need to get a UT guy. I would prefer not to have an Alabama guy, but that's the least of my concerns with Hart. I'm more worried about having someone who has never really fired/hired a coach on a big stage before. I was also hoping for someone who would want to compete at the highest level, instead of just seeing how much mediocrity he could get away with, like Hamilton. But the fact that he hasn't fired Dooley yet makes me think he's alot like Hamilton, cynically gauging how much mediocrity fans will accept before he is absolutely forced to act.

Primary focus was to get the game day vendor cash flow issue fixed in Neyland...and you can check that off as completed!

Dave Hart was the AD @ FSU for 12 years.

He is not Mike Hamilton - this is good for UT.

Why did he come here? Seriously, is it not a lateral move? Or are our athletics overall better than bamas (though not as successful right now)?

Oh boy, more conspiracy theories. "ESPN hates us", "we sold our soul for a championship, and are now paying for it", "Hart is trying to sabotage us". My god, believe it or not, not everyone is out to get UT, even if they aren't fans. And to believe that Hart is going to sabotage UT athletics is ludacris. He's a professional and will treat this position as one and will do it to best of his capability.

I don't think Dave Hart is the problem.Hell.Dickey was AD for Years and look at all the good things he did for Tennessee Football. And he was a Florida guy.

The Saban ass sniffing with the Sunseri hire is suspect, and mostly Dooley's fault, but Hart is here to do a job and our program is now his program. He is a professional. I believe he will do what is in the best interests of UT athletics and for his continued employment, and until it is proven otherwise this topic isn't worth exploring. It is just a child's game to let the place the guy came from prejudice you against his ability to do his job in good faith.

Wasn't that big a deal when we had an alabama guy running our offense and an alabama guy playing QB back in 98' was it?

The funny thing about your post is that the OP and those agreeing with him probably are still scratching their collective heads trying to figure out who you are talking about.

Bet the OP didn't know that one either. Darn, just when it looked like we had us a good Bammer/Gator conspiracy going here, you had to ruin it with some facts.

You guys are seriously delusional if you think school and team loyalty will stop a person from choosing a path that conflicts with that loyalty for their own personal career success. It isn't like we asked him to spit on his mother and call her a whore. If a man in a houndstooth cap knocked on my door with a great job offer to work for the Menstrual Flow in Tuscaloosa then I'd be there tomorrow.
