New Anti Dooley Painting on rock....

Someone go cover the rock quickly. We don't want the recruits to know that we are unhappy with a loser

Lulz! Dools doesn't have any recruits coming this weekend anyway...lol!

SD, Why is Hart letting him dangle in the wind like this? Shoot him and put him out of his misery. Enough already

Last I'll say about it, but don't understand how, if any of you have been on the field and played for a coach before, how you guys think that helps the players stay focused and play hard. My assumption is that you don't care if they do, and that you want them to lose to assure Dooley is gone.

That's fantastic program support.
You would have this at almost any passionate school in the country that is sick and tired of losing.

I completely understand your argument and you make a lot of valid points. I just think the fans are tired of mediocrity and they are going to lash out at everything and everyone that they view as a road block to success.

I'm well aware of frustration. Some handle it better.

The only reason I can think of is because they are gonna keep him on to finish the season while they finish the coaching search.

Fans have very few ways to show disappointment in the direction a program is going. Public displays of protest are the most effective in getting your message out. Everyone from Hart to Cheek knows about this. Mission accomplished.

Not protesting Dooley is still not being fired does more harm to the players than painting the rock. They deserve a better coach.

At first I was going to say a good coached team should never be distracted by something like a painting on a rock, but I remembered who our coach was.

Agreed on how things are handled. But that's the range of human emotion and reaction. It's unrealistic to think that everyone will act in a civil, enlightened manner all the time. Fan is definitely short for fanatic. Sports are polarizing and people can and will disappoint.

Players see it. Players discuss it. It takes away energy and focus. You don't have to say it. If you think nothing is wrong with it, you support it, and are against what is best for the team and players.

Simply put, the team and players would be better off without that junk, but some don't care because they want to see someone humiliated. That's part of society, and its the gutter of society that roll that way.
I think you're painting with too board a brush. I agree our hostility could be handled better but I'm much older and likely less inebriated than whoever painted the rock.

OK so lets say no one paints the rock, no one bad mouths the coaches, no one boos at games, and people keep going to games like it is 1998. Guess what happens? The status quo continues. Uncivil behavior is not always a bad thing.

How so? Do like you and just watch AND SUPPORT a loser drill our respective program into the ground! That's not "handling it better" to me sparty..

This is about the players cyc. Dooley is a father figure to many. Coaching situation will clear itself up. I'm against anything that makes our players lose focus or drops effort level, as well as anything intended to personally embarrass another. Jmo.

Acting like I am standing with pom poms and cheering on Dooley and giving unwavering support to him is off base. He's the coach right now. That's it.

I like your point too. Hell I'm not going to sit here and say I always make great decisions. I've booed, ranted, and screamed when I'm angry. My point is you can't expect people to always act properly. Just won't happen. I am not happy and I'm sick and tired of losing just like most UT fans.

If Rosa Parks would've stayed at the back of the bus..

Yeah, that is all I can think of too. Hopefully, we will have a big fish on board by the end of this month.

Enough is enough

If you ain't for him, your against him IMO. If he was the best thing for these kids I'd be supportive of him, but, you and I both know he's not. If they're not being coached up to there potential, there draft status is dropping.. That's not what's best for the kids. Get a winner in here and we'll have more vols to watch in the Nfl!!

Cyclops luv da kids! Lol

Do you by any chance keep up with the recruiting numbers? Do you know how many we can actually sign this year and how many Vandy can sign? How many Seniors will Vandy send off this year and how many will UT? How many Juniors from UT will declare? My point is, just because you jump on Rivals every once in a while and look at our "ranking" doesn't mean you know what you are talking about.

Just out of curiosity, how many total recruits does Vandy have? UT? What about how many 4* Vandy has? UT?

Last question... Exactly what day is signing day?

Scout---Vandy 21 UT 23
Rivals---Vandy 15 UT 21
247----UT 22 Vandy 24

Defend your Dooley all you want....spin it all you want.....try to think questioning me on recruiting is going to change the facts....but as these current Juniors and Seniors go bye bye we will have to rely on Dooley's coaching expertise and the athletes he has lined up to sign. He can't win with the talent he has now....can't wait to see how it is going to turn out against Florida, Georgia, Bama, South Carolina, LSU, etc with that talent level.

Can you say

Uncivil is standing up face to face with what you feel is a problem. Painting a University icon with **** like that is bich as it gets. No correlation between the two.
Dooley's performance will get him fired if he does get fired. If that ain't good enough for you then you need to go perform for the team. That is really a chump move. Even if he loses every game left.
