CDDs recruiting has been pretty good so far,he has been having to fill spots of need every year and doing a good job so far, still has a way to go on D,look at our secondary problems,a big part of CDDs problems recruiting has been all the negativity about him being on the hot seat, the whole time he has been here,if Hart is going to keep him,he needs to say so publicly and be done with all the speculation,it has to be hurting on the recruiting trail

I know it may be too soon in recruiting. But i see where Auburn who has one win is number 7 in recruiting. They have two 5 star DEs and a 5 star LB. We are number 21 right now in recruiting. I think if anyone needs DEs it is us. I have been for Dooley but boy is it getting tough to pull for him. Some think we will win out. I just don't think that is going to happen. Our defense can not stop anyone. Missouri get's their QB back and they play better with him. And you know Franklin will have Vandy ready for Tenn after last years game. I give up make a change and hire a new coach.

Nobody but other schools rejects want to play for Dooley...He is stinking it up this year in recruiting.

Hart can't tell the public he is keeping Dooley if he isn't.

ok, now pick out the best 10.

all these guys are gonna be players.the reason some of them are not playing now is,they have jr's,sr's and jc players ahead of them.

thats 2 solid classes

Dooley & staff have won some recruiting battles. We have got several of our big time recruits via other teams filling up and them sliding down to us. Lane/Clemson? A couple DT's/Bama? Yes, we were in their top 2-3, but landing them was more others filling up than us beating teams for them.

No, you pick them. I see your point though - but let's look at it this way, say Bonner - a one time 5 star who made a huge mistake at GA and will be a baller when his time comes - is being out played by a 3 star - Gray. Not sure if Gray will start this weekend, but he should. Is that what you are/were alluding to?

what i am alluding to is.....

if dooley has done a great job in recruiting......where are the impact freshmen, redshirt freshmen, and sophomores?

tennessee has a team that has won 1 conference game in its last 13 games.

it's a bad sign to be losing with older players. where are the younger players that are going to be carrying the program forward?

VOLS will never bring in a coach that can't recruit nationally. There are still players that want to come to UT no matter what. The state of TN is also producing better talent these days. No matter who the coach is UT will be able to use the HUGE athletic facility to recruit. If they can get a guy on campus the brand can still sell itself. This AD will make better decisions either way.

I know what your saying. But if we are going to catch up with Alabama,Georgia,LSU,Florida we got to get these 5 star players. These 2 star kids are not going to beat Bama. Just tired of all this loseing. Right now we are down in Vandy,Kentucky class. If it was basketball we would be in great shape being in there with Kentucky. I just do not believe we will win out. Not with this defense.

i've said this already but it's fine if you don't like dooley.give the guy some credit.if he's going to be fired, giving him credit for the things he's done is not going to change it.are some of you so blinded by,(we want rid of dooley)so bad that you can't see the good he's done.please don't go into, well he's 0 and whatever.i'm not talking about wins and losses.i'm talking about the solid classes he's brought in.

You can name all the players you think will be ballers and that matters little when you consistently recruit in the bottom half of the SEC. If we can name 10 then I guess Bama can name 20. See the difference?

What SEC team(s) rely on impact freshman, sophomores to win in the SEC? I admit it's a bad sign to be losing with older players, but you also have to admit that we lost basically an entire class when Kiffy bolted. On the flipside, you cannot discount what Dooley and Chaney have done with our offense. Tiny Richardson manhandled SC's impact player for an entire game, but Clowney was the hero because he made one play. Not taking anything away from Jadaveon, he is a true impact player, but Dooley's recruit beat the snot out of him. You cannot deny that. As for other our other young recruits, time will tell.

I can name you 50 guys, that does not mean they are going to amount to anything. Alot of our "highly rated" kids are getting torched all over that field every week by everyone we play.

A&M has a freshman QB, UF has a young QB, UGA has (2) FR Running backs, and starts a TF on the OLine.

Just something to think about. EVERY TEAM in the SEC(Except Vandy) starts more FR & SO than this UT team does. We used it as an excuse for losing the last 2 years. Hmmm

WTF are you talking about? We were fifth (Rivals) in the SEC last year (17th in the nation). 2011 we were 6th (SEC) and 13th in the nation. Is that the bottom half. SMFH.

So. UT has one damn powerful offense that Dooley and Chaney put together. With some damn good up & comers. If our defense was 1/2 as good/bad as it was last year, UF and GA would be W's in our win loss column. Not making excuses, but let me ask you a question - is it easier to recruit to UF -UG - LSU - Bama than it is to UT?

EDIT - Add SC to our win column also.
