Because we should always be one of those top 5 teams that others are losing to. It's the fact that we now think its ok to lose to those teams. We should always be up there with Alabama, Lsu, Florida, and Georgia. It's a joke that anyone would be ok with us losing to "top" teams.

Seems like we've been waiting for the ball to bounce our way for 3 yrs against the big 4. The last time a ball bounced our way at all was overtime win over Vandy.

We should be fielding teams that compete with them consistantly, with a reasonable chance to win, not upset them. JMO

This thinking is my problem. Since when is ANY LOSS acceptable at UT? We are TENNESSEE!!! A school rich in tradition of success and winning... Moral victories are sneaking into our vocabulary is scaring me. We aren't Vandy....

its not acceptable to lose to the top 5 teams in the sec because that means our team is one of the top 5 in the SEC.

at Tennessee should always be unacceptable

Phillips, if I remember correctly, had some sort of credit on his transcript that was somewhat faulty and came from a questionable school that was allegedly a diploma mill. FL didn't validate that credit because it came from a questionable school, which dropped his GPA to below standards. I'm not sure if we validated that certain credit, or if Dooley pulled some strings, but it had nothing to do with it being an A, B, or C. Again I could be mistaken, if someone else remembers better than I do please explain because I am curious as well.
