Basilio said that Gruden would be interested but never that it was a done deal. He did say Dooley is fired no matter the out come of the season.

Just because the admin are in Dooleys corner doesn't mean he's saved. Part of the reason they are is because the ADs finances are a mess. I believe they have a much firmer grasp of it than any Internet speculation. However, it puts them at the mercy of the big money donors. If they want a change and put their money where their mouth is, it would force Hart's hand

And part of the reason they are in a mess is because the fans are not going to the games, and buying the products because CDD is still there. Seems kinda like that "vicious circle" thing.

Of all the sources out there, Basilio (surprisingly) seems to be the most reliable. His angle on the Gruden story seems to make sense (i.e., UT has reached out to him in a big way, but won't offer him until they're certain he'd sign). I think Basilio has been consistent about that from the beginning.

This is how Hamilton ****ed us. Pouring money into facilities isn't going to make you a good football team. A good coach is - and keeping him here. His priorities were messed up and what made it 10 times worse was the bull**** contracts he drew up for all these coaches.

Get a winning coach in - keep him here - win games, boost revenue, then improve facilities

The AD might be putting out false rumors to the public. It's been happening for the last week or so. It's not time to get discouraged just yet, and I'm not believing it has fell through yet. No one has even made any kind of announcements yet.......yea or nay.
