Did I understand you to say that Charlie Anderson is a former UT football player?

No. He's John Anderson's brother that flopped as a singer. He released songs titled "Choctaw Breeze" and "Swayin'". They both sucked. I guess you could liken him to Frank Stallone.

The best part of Halloween is when you get to eat all the leftover candy..Hubby just told me to hide it from him so he doesn't eat any more of it..It's all mine! WOOHOO!:dance2:

I live in the country, we have had 1 T or Ter in 28 years, but that was a nephew. If kids would only come, I buy all the best candy and am forced to eat all of it. It's a shame!

Per Jeremy Crabtree ESPN Recruiting Insider ( not trying to flood with nega or all espn content, just posting for those without insider)

Darnisha Allen-Jackson: Is Jon Gruden really being considered for UT-Knoxville?

Jeremy Crabtree: While it's not a recruiting question, directly, Tennessee fans have been lighting up message boards with speculation the past two weeks, so I'll take a crack at it.

The easy answer is that it's clearly FICTION. There are too many things that would have to happen for it to become fact: Tennessee would have to fire Derek Dooley. Gruden would have to decide to leave the "Monday Night Football" booth. Gruden then would have to bypass interest from NFL teams and agree to come to Knoxville. While it also is a fact that Gruden has a connection to Tennessee, where he was an assistant coach early in his career and where he met his wife, that doesn't automatically put him next in line if Tennessee decides to make a change.

So, there are far too many ifs right now for any Gruden-to-Tennessee talk to be fact at this stage, but it's still fascinating to ponder the recruiting possibilities of Gruden in the SEC. There's no doubt it would be a fact that Gruden would be a hit with prospects and their parents.

I've covered recruiting for almost 15 years, and I know kids have dreams of playing in the NFL. The lure of playing for a coach who has won a Super Bowl and is so heavily connected with the NFL would be awfully appealing. All he would have to do is walk into in-home visits, flash his Super Bowl ring and turn on the charm he displays on camera, and moms and dads would be impressed.

All of those things create a pretty impressive recipe for recruiting success, but here's another fact: Recruiting success doesn't automatically equate to success on the field. We've seen plenty of charismatic coaches with NFL backgrounds recruit four- and five-star prospects but struggle to win at the college level.

For now, to answer the question, it is fiction that Jon Gruden is being considered for Tennessee. But if some facts change ...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Never heard of Jeremy Crabtree and from reading that garbage I know why. A lot would have to happen. They would have to fire Dooley and Gruden would have to leave MNF. Wow you're breakin some real ground there Copernicus!

Yeah,my uncle lives out in the country and he only gets 2 trick or treaters every year, if that...Yeah, hubby had to force me to eat the leftovers..These sweets are gonna get me one day.

he is not coming here. You guys don't have the money so you do not know. Jg will not be the coach here.

So Kameron, I'm sure we'd be all ears to hear you explain how your dad Brad from Utah is related to the Haslam family from the great state of Tennessee.

Pretty sure F--- is universal. :)

Seriously, congrats to Dortmund for their recent Champuons League success.

No doubt.

On a related note, I just returned from taking the kids treating and I met a recent Frankfurt transplant who was a big Eintracht fan. Nice guy.

He had absolutely no sense of humor though.

I have the same problems--- all this candy and no TorTs. I don't understand it. I leave the porch light off so it doesn't hurt their little eyes.

Ok. I am not sure how I missed it, but there is some dude out there that is trying to convince people that we need to hire Joe Lee Dunn.

If he is not yanking chains, then that is one of the most classic threads I have ever seen.

It should be stickied.
