It makes sense to me. Honestly, I hold the belief that there is more involved in this hire than we have had to deal with before. I try not to question the information that is given to me, which admittedly is broad stroke in nature.

That being said, I, like a couple of others here believe as I have since I was first told three weeks ago. Dolley is gone....now we know at the end of the season. The HC job is Grudens. I am 100% on that. Anything can happen I guess, but I believe we've crossed the point of no return.

I was thinking about why the announcement would be delayed more than anything.

I could see ESPN asking him to wait unitll closer to the end of the season before announcing he won't be back. That would reduce the impact on the remaining telecasts and put ESPN in a position where it could announce next season's replacement at the same time Gruden announces his departure. ESPN will need time to identify that person and get a contract signed.

There are a lot of different layers to this, that's for sure.

Don't remember which insider it was, but didn't one of them give us a hint last night? The hint was two names west of the Mississippi,one being a college HC and the other an OC in the NFL..I have an idea of the two names but can't be anywhere near 100% sure of course.

Roman, and Gundy would be my guess.

In case anyone was wondering, the duckman guy that keeps saying Gruden is going to arky hasn't emailed me any proof or evidence at all that that's happening. He said if he had my email he would tell me why he is so sure, but hasn't said anything..
