I want Dooley to succeed.
I would give him the rest of this year and next to prove he can succeed.
The risk of changing now is too high.
Give Dooley some credit for the offense. It may be the best in the SEC.
I have no doubt that Tennessee is far better today than they were when Dooley took over.
The defense is awful!! It shouldn't be!! It is somewhat true that there are 10-15 big plays EVERY GAME that the defense gives up. The other 55-60 plays they play well enough to win most games.
So, I'm for giving Dooley the rest of this year and next to improve this defense.
I hatthis record as bad as anyone.
Now, if they lose to any of their remaining 4 opponents I would probably change my mind.
No you been on it the whole way. Also know for fact Mrs G has been in contact since last week with keller Reaty company in ktown.Who knows she might even be attending HC.The collective gasp from these guys when the announcement is finally made is going to be breathtaking to behold.
Of course, it will have all just been a lucky guess.
Doesn't matter.
You Gruden lovers have no guarantee that this guy is a sure fire winner at Tennessee.
His record doesn't prove he is one of the best.
Again 100-85 career record, 1 super bowl, Take away the Super Bowl year and he is 85-81.

Not a stupid post. But your reply is hollow and stupid.
Yes his overall record is 15 over .500. But his SuperBowl season is 11 of the 15 over .500.
His record doesn't give me this great fuzzy feeling that he is a sure fire winner. Especially the fact his record is in the National Felon League and not College. It takes a whole lot more ability as a coach in college than the pros.
Holly Anderson who writes at Sports Illustrated (and is a Tennessee fan) laughs at the entire Gruden to Tennessee idea. She called it a wankfest which is perpetuated through growing echo chambers like VolNation by people who are just like guys at strip clubs who believe the strippers really like them.
Did you say you were a minister? Or is that someone else? I lost track.
Either way, the flock gets scared, they go to church, they get comforted and reassured that Jesus is coming...
Alot like going to church IMO....LOL.
Taking us through conditioning and teaching us Gruden's playbook... That would be a better comparison to going to church.
Spoken like someone who knows little about church.
Except for the fact that he compared the church to scared children in bed and totally misrepresented its purpose.
Yes. You did. But also true is the fact that there are no worries.
:hi:
Again I'll say, see something you don't like? You don't have to read it.
How would one know whether they like something or not before reading it?
I'm fine with not agreeing with things I read. Are you not OK with people disagreeing with things you say on a public forum?
Did you know you didn't like it before reading it? If so, I take it you read it anyway?
(I was just pointing out that you were wrong. I can't figure why you would post something that insulted an entire group of people, unless you were seeking a response. But anyway, no worries.)
The purpose of the church is to be strong, courageous "soldiers", not scared little kids sucking our thumbs in bed.Ephesians 4: 11 It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, 12 to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up 13 until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. 14 Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of men in their deceitful scheming. 15 Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into him who is the Head, that is, Christ. 16 From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.
That's why Jesus, himself, established the church. Note: Not to be a bunch of scared kids needing Sunday pacifiers.Ephesians 6:12 -- For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
(Note about above... Gates are a defensive measure. The church is supposed to be mobilized and active-- not scared and sucking its thumbs, just pining away and hoping Jesus shows up.)Matthew 16:18 And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
