i was scheduled to get ear tubes put in at a navy hospital in okinawa but had an inner ear infection in my right ear. i told the navy doctor it felt infected but he ignore me and started anyway. the left ear went fine but when he started to shoot the local anisthetic(sp) next to the right ear drum, i could tell that it wasnt numbing at all compared to the left. i told the doctor it didnt feel numb at all but the jackass ignored me again and cut my infected eardrum with no anisthetic(sp). the infection evidently interfered with it. WORST PAIN EVER. he chuckled once the fluid started oozing out of the cut and said" yep guess it was infected," then stuck the tube in.
Yikes.
That reminds me of having my gum grafted (like a skin graft) during a dental procedure back in middle school. Whatever he kept shooting me with kept wearing off in seconds. So, I got a ridiculous amount of shots on top of having my gum cut out. When he finally realized he really was hurting me, he was more than halfway finished, so he just finished.
