Want us to lose a game if it means the difference between starting over with a homerun hire or returning a coach that has proven to be unqualified for he job? In other words, if you knew winning Saturday meant Dooley returns regardless of what happens the rest of the year, and losing meant he would be dismissed at years end to be replaced with Gruden or whoever you consider a homerun hire, could you want us to lose??
I have to admit, it's debatable for me with no clear answer.
No. Until Coach Dooley actually underperforms I refuse to admit he isn't the man for the job. Losing to top 15 teams close does not count as underperforming. People need to quit acting like he is the reason Tennessee's standards have fallen. 3-4 years ago no way this team beats NC State or is even competitive with any team Tennessee has played to date.
Really sad. Not a VFL IMO
florida - mississippi state 10/23/04.
greatest loss in florida football history

I want the best for the school and football program I love. If that means losing to get rid of a dead weight, going nowhere coach, then so be it.

Dude the difference between Gator fans and Tennessee fans is Tennessee fans don't want to be the bad guy and fire someone for average mediocre coaching.

Florida fans will not tolerate that S#!T for one season....Bama fans either
I personally want Dooley to continue down the path he is on for the greater good of the program. It makes no sense to me how more Vol fans feel sorry for Dooley and believe he needs more years here to prove nothing. IMO they themselves are part of the problem and not the solution.

Personally.....I have fired several people in my adult life...have no problem doing it....if my company hires you to do a job and you are not performing it at the level we expect and costing me and my superiors money everyday you are an employee....well I will gladly show you the door and feel not one bit sorry about doing it.
