no but its his job to get those fans into seats at Neyland, and that outlook is not looking too good.

Him releasing a statement isn't going to put any fans back in the seats that were already sitting out the rest of the year.

I want Dooley fired more than anyone else, but I feel like people are really getting their hopes up, just to be crushed when what they are hoping for does not immediately happen.

if dooley is fired, it will 100% be at the end of the season. There is no way they are going to fire him now. People on this board need to think for once. These are the most b.s. rumors, but at the sight of one "my friend this guy" or "this guy on twitter said" everyone takes it as confirmed truth.

How would you categorized this little tidbit of wisdom:

1. Rumor you heard from someone close to the situation?

2. Speculation on your part?

3. Something your daddy said?

-or- 4. Doug Matthews said it on the radio?

HAPPY HALLOWEEN VOLS FANS!

I believe that brand of wine is what was used in the infamous buttchugging incident.

I don't want Dooley to be the coach next year, and I would love Gruden to accept the job opening that will become available. But firing Dooley this season just to satisfy fans isn't going to amount to anything productive. It won't win us ballgames. Our defense playing better will win us ballgames. I think we should focus on that these next four games.

Maybe their waiting on Gruden to say yes or no to the job, or Hart is waiting to see how the rest of the season plays out. Maybe he's thinking we could win out with a bowl win, and that earns Dooley another year. I hope its not the latter.

Buying tickets, concessions, and memorabilia does contribute to that dip****. Ever heard of Alabama? How do you think they're doing financially right now? It's been stated oh so many times how nobody will be writing a $10m check upfront but instead the costs are spread out over time and will easily be covered by the increase in revenue a Gruden would bring. Try to keep-up and understand what your arguing before you post dumb ****. It's getting annoying all you idiots come in here and try to act like you have some fantastic points we nobody has considered yet. Then I have to scroll through 40+ pages to read the few posts/posters I do value.

Your real mad. You keep up . YOU are a NOBODY in the eyes of people who make the hiring decisions. Your opinion doesn't mean a ****ing thing. Nobody cares what your annoyed with. Who are you again? POST LESS.

"Hart HAS NOT spoke with Gruden or his agent"

Freaking unbelievable! I hope this is NOT true!

I'm buying what Basilio blogged earlier today. Boosters have spoken to Gruden's people but not the AD. And Gruden is not far enough along for the AD to get involved and close the deal.

My belief is that Gruden would have already accepted if he had any intentions of coaching at UT. We are due for another big letdown IMO.

Just because Hart hasn't talked to Gruden or agent doesn't mean talks aren't happening with boosters... also doesn't mean Hart isn't working through the boosters. I know someone posted that boosters are running with it and Hart isn't part of it, but again it doesn't mean they aren't talking with him.

This is how all searches are run... provides ability to deny it ever happened if it doesn't pan out... how many times have you heard a coach say he hasn't talked to anyone and the next week he is hired? Same thing applies here. "We" haven't talked to anyone, but "we" have.

No inside info, just trying to make sense of it while being forced to be patient.

How can he accept anything if there's not an open position to offer him?

I wholeheartedly believe that UT will not "offer" him the job unless they are certain he is going to take it. There is going to be a process, and we are going to have to be patient.

Question that comes to mind now, is.....would Gruden WANT to work with Hart after he's shown tendencies of stubborness.
