Then he must feel that things are stable enough for right now.

If he's having to make statements saying that Derek Dooley's job is secure, that's when you'll know he's f***ed.

Of course, there is a possibility that they are working on something. The problem is that I don't think they'd have Derek Dooley out there for his weekly media day talking about the Troy game, then trot him out again this week to have him announce his resignation or his firing.

Brent sobleski of ESPN just posted this on ESPN rumors...The article was about retaining a recruiting class if a change occurs.

"If the team shows signs of progress down the stretch, it might be enough to impress the administration, and the current commits as well as potential targets," Woody Wommack of Rivals.com wrote. "Another scenario for saving the class could be a quick decision to change coaches, and a big name hire to create excitement. Sometimes a splashy move (see Ohio State) can make up for a lost season on the field."

That is the only thing that seems odd to me (other than Dooley's demeanor during pressers), unless Hart just wants shock and awe and to come out of the blue for change. The only way I can see him continuing as scheduled is if he resigns and coaches out the year. And then it would be necessary for him to continue the normal routine, for now.

if dooley is fired, it will 100% be at the end of the season. There is no way they are going to fire him now. People on this board need to think for once. These are the most b.s. rumors, but at the sight of one "my friend this guy" or "this guy on twitter said" everyone takes it as confirmed truth.

I'm giving up on Gruden coming here. We'll win out, go to Music City Bowl, beat a crappy ACC team and Dooley will be retained.

No announcement anytime soon. What im hearing is this, some boosters are trying to strong arm Hart to make a public statement about Dooley. As ive said all along, Hart most likely makes no announcement unless he has a coach ready to take the job. Ive heard some booster have been in contact with gruden, But Hart HAS NOT spoke with Gruden or his agent. Thats whats floating around the ad, dont know anymore than that.

I'd say if you don't hear anything after this week, he'll probably coach out the end of the season, then be fired/resign during bowl season, if we make one.

His demeaner has been odd for the past week or so. Probably just like the rest of us and knows it is inevitable.

I don't know. I still have a gut feeling he's gonna leave for medical reasons. Every one saves face.
