You might. However, UT football is all some people have UNFORTUNATELY. They live through the football team, look at some of the posters on this board and some of the remarks made. When you start making football more then a game, there's a serious problem. Especially when 97 percent of the posters on this board don't play football at UT and are not on the coaching staff. Lol.

I know this is a Gruden thread and everyone will think im crazy but listen. Chip Kelly has to be starting to wonder about if the grass is greener somewhere else. Oregon is by far the second best team in the nation and here they are having to depend on USC and Kiffin to get their act together just to be able to stay in the NC hunt. If Notre Dame beats USC then it wont matter if they go 13-0. The pac 12 is to weak. On the other hand, if he's coaching in the SEC( any school, not just UT) and he wins out, there isn't any discussion on the matter. His team is a lock for the title game. I would much rather have him than Gruden and it would be fun to see Kelly offense against Saban defense. One can only hope though I guess...

In reality, it does not matter what I think or don't think. I can not by believing make Gruden come to Tennessee anymore than someone that is NOT believeing can stop him from coming.

Everything is in Hart and the major donor's hands (as well as Gruden's)... All I can do is wait and see. ......

But while I wait, I choose to BELIEVE.... it makes it interesting

Not true. Maybe he is going over the numbers and doing his research. Also discussing things with his wife. Soon as Gruden says yes (E Hopefully) then Dooley being gone is made public. If the 48players hr thing from yesterday is true then by tomorrow we will know that he has accepted. Whether or not it goes public with Gruden is a different story. But if its made public DD is gone then they got their man.

No not really and yes they are and it's gotten quite ridiculous in here..I'm just applying that awesome feature called the ignore button right now until it does die down.:thumbsup:

Don't know if I would rather him over Gruden but it would be interesting with our offense in his system, mixed with our dline and some of those speedy little guys in the sec!

But again would much rather have the coach Jon Gruden who we could count on to be a VFL!

I would argue that theres more to the fanbase than guys who make $200,000+, former players, and booster's buddies, but thats not a fact so I cant.

What I can say is this:

When you work your azz off full time all week, struggle day in and day out, go to school full time and raise a family, you take the one free moment you have to root this team and program on and they let you down...its more than not having a life, it is about HAVING A LIFE, as opposed to wasting time hoping and praying good things happen. I think most of the angry ones here fall into the latter...I may be wrong.

Yes he gets fired. no later than today. Gruden will announce tonight on MNF that he is going to take the TN job. I read it over the weekend on VN.

Go start a Chip Kelly thread. He's not the guy I want. I want a Gruden type that has the pull to get recruits above the table. But this is a discussion board, so you're entitled to talk about it.

This isn't the thread, though.

Well, I was perfectly prepared to come on here and eat crow today, but it looks like the reservations were already booked solid.
No, I know, they'll be some other version to the story of when this "firing that has already happened" will be done. I guess after our 4 game winning streak.
