I think he is a very good offensive coach. I don't think he's a great head coach, or a good option for any program looking for stability or a good long term hire. I also think he is comically overrated.

He took Arkansas and Louisville to BCS bowls. Name the other coaches who have taken two programs to BCS bowls.

Listen everyone here is how it's gonna go.

We are going to win the next 4 ball games allowing for some positive momentum to build.

At the end of the regular season, Hart will announce that while we appreciated Dooley's time at TN he will not be coming back to Coach at TN in 2013.

Then we will then proceed to finalize everything that is left to clean up on the coaching hire. Contracts will be signed and then two weeks later we will have our new coach announced.

IF it is Gruden he will announce that he will finish out his last 2 Monday night football broadcasts and then join the team for bowl practices.

WE then beat a team in the bowl by 400 pts as Gruden makes our defense as good as the 85 Bears overnight.

All I've heard is positive. There is no doubt in my mind that Gruden is THE target and has received a generous offer(s). I just can't go so far as to say he has signed a contract.

Everything is on lockdown now...so all we can do is wait and pray.

The longer Gruden sits on an offer and doesn't say yes, the less likely it gets that he will ever say yes. At some point, you have to pull the plug and move on no matter how much we all would like to see him named as the coach.

That seems plausible. Especially the last bit. I choose to believe you 100%, my man.

That is where Hart differs from Hamilton.

Winning the Big East is not an impressive accomplishment.

And yes, that is a nice accomplishment. It doesn't make you the 3rd best coach in America, when a number of other coaches have national titles, conference titles, and multiple BCS bowl games.

Is everybody just blowing off what Skeeter said last night about an announcement being made in the next 48 hours?

Dude, Gruden is going to finish the year with MNF.

Dooley is going to finish the year coaching at TN.

There is no reason to announce anything right now if it is being taken care of behind the scenes.

This is why I have been telling everyone with ears that is was idiotic to think Dooley was going to get fired today if he beat SC or even lost.

This is late November early December news.

There is really nothing new to be said. We all stand by the info we have gotten.

Fair enough for me. Forgive IAP but, didnt we have an announcement about Fulmer with no coach in place, and all that was said is he would be allowed to finish the season?

In regards to the reaction towards the AD about this from the fans, I think they are expecting the same. A confirmation that Dools is done, he can coach out, and we still have no replacement. No announcement is like saying "We are pleased with his progress."

What do you think? Is that accurate or not?

According to Basilio, no offer has been made.

No...people are just obsessed. The problem is that the majority of the game planning is done early in the week, so some think once Monday comes and goes...nothing is going to happen. I think anything can happen anytime now.
