Jon Gruden is looking more unlikely at Tennessee. He now appears more likely to land in the NFL. Bobby Petrino could emerge as a candidate.

Kentucky appears to be targeting David Cutcliffe and Tommy Tuberville as potential replacements for Joker Phillips

Several prominent Arkansas boosters are pushing for Tommy Tuberville.

Per AuburnUndercover, Auburn unlikely to target Bobby Petrino

I disagree/dislike every one of those comments.

1. Petrino better not be a candidate here. Seriously, I would rather have Dooley. I mean that.

2. David Cutcliffe and Tubberville will not go to UK, unless they are sadistic enough to tackle that career-ender of a program.

3. Tubbs would actually be decent for the Hogs, but I keep hearing Butch Davis from my Arky friends.

4. I think Auburn IS likely to target Petrino.

No move today is a huge letdown given that from the Gruden thread one until now the word has been today. Wrong on this, potentially wrong on everything. It's just like Dooley...results. Nothing anyone has said here has actually happened yet. We'll see. feel free to bump this if something happens today, thanks.

If that happens then a lot of people will be done...totally. Maybe they can make some money to pay him by selling off the empty seating to collectors as memorabilia when they start to dismantle the stadium.

Just a way to get more hits. Be a bit contrarian in order to make yourself relevant. fbrumormill changes its tune more than most on its rumors.

"I've been told that the grind of being a coach in the NFL isn't as appealing to him as being able to go out and recruit the top players in the country and develop them," Clay Travis of OutkicktheCoverage.com wrote.

Gruden would have complete control over a program at Tennessee like he never had at the NFL level. That alone could make the possibility even more enticing.

Not having a press conference today doesn't mean Dooley isn't gone or Gruden isn't the next guy..

Bro, you're Arkansas. You have a couple of good seasons and you think you deserve to sit at the big boy's table. Petrino put y'all on the map for a couple of minutes before going full circle and returning you back to your rightful place as the resident laughing stock of the West. See the whole motorcycle fiasco. Haha, what's even better is your current head coach who seems to hate the state of Arkansas so much that he freudian slipped on wishing he were at Alabama. Your false entitlement to SEC riches has ran its course. Get over it.

At this point, I have little faith Gruden will coach at the collegiate level.. And I'm so desperate for wins, I'm starting to reconsider my thoughts on Bobby P..

I've always been on the Bobby P bandwagon FWIW. Prior to his fiasco at Arkansucks, I would have ranked him the #3 college football coach (behind Saban and Meyer).

This.

I am not even sure how that equation is being made. There is nothing more special about today than any other day. There is a process and whatever happens, it will happen regardless of today.
