Official Jon Gruden Thread IV

Some people were speculating that per your glasses on your avi, you are actually a tweeter named knoxville_swag, who tweeted about God knows what at this point; I can't keep track, but I think it was much the same as what you were posting here. Others brought up the belief that you are Sabannochio, who seems to have designed your avi and your image on your siggy.

Otherwise, it's the he-is, he-isn't, it's today, it's tomorrow, it's next week, it's Thanksgiving. And JG is taking a recruiting test in early November.

Since you asked.

Gater hater Eric did my avi

That wouldn't make any sense, though. What's Gruden going to do, leave MNF to coach out the season here?

I don't see any plausible scenario where we don't announce an interim.

I don't think they meant that Gruden would come in immediately...just that it would either be Dooley is gone but will coach out the season (meaning Gruden is coming) versus firing immediately and naming an interim. I agree that it doesn't make much sense objectively, but whomever said it seemed to have pretty good rep on the board.

It was all well worth it. New chapter new beginnings

This was his tweet just minutes ago. his reply to someone asking if he was going somewhere---AS IN JAWUAN GOING SOMEHWERE-- his reply was "lol"

"@JawuanJames70
That last tweet was about a friendship. Please don't take it out of context. Thanks"

I've got mixed emotions. I don't want Dooley here next year but I didn't want to see him fail. I really wanted him to be our guy. It just wasn't meant to be.

I just hate it more for his family. I've heard from several "friends of friends" that Dooley is a complete *******...especially to women. No idea how credible they are, but our mutual friend is convinced they would not make something like that up or have any other reason to lie about it. I don't want someone like that being the face of our program.

I think it's going to happen but I can't help feeling mixed emotions. I never want to see a man fail and IMO DD has been a great administrator and a darn good recruiter. For those two reasons I feel somewhat saddened.

I agree. I am 100 pct convicned this was and is a bad fit for all involved but I am sad as well. I was initially excited (after some time) when DD was introduced at UT. Loved his appreciation for the tradition and the league, and wanted a career guy who would get involved in the community. I feel he was a right fit in that regard, it is my opinion that the biggest knock on him is leadership and management(2 are related). I think all of us want a long term coach who invests in the rogram and community and truly loves the program. I think DD would have been that guy, I just dont think he was a fit in other ways and was not ready. No crime on his part. Took a shot, and it didnt work. I will say that I think he did improve in some ways this year
