Official Jon Gruden Thread IV

I honestly think Hart gave Dooley a chance to prove himself. When he blew the UF game, I think that was it.

The argument after the Miss St game set Hart over IMO.

I think the correct time to announce the new coach would to wait at least a couple weeks. I would prefer as soon as possible to get the ball rolling in recruiting.

Not exactly. I grew up a Leverkusen fan because that is who my dad followed. I haven't been a fan for years, but I do still pay attention to their results. Actually, I follow the bundesliga as much as anything. I really like the style across the board. I think it is totally underrated as the leagues go. It is much more entertaining than the EPL.

I agree about the style. It's a lot more organized whereas the EPL is a little more Helter Skelter. Nothing wrong with that, it's just a matter of preference.

Exactly what I think. It will signal the Gruden deal is done, but I highly doubt it is even mentioned tomorrow if all our information is correct.

If his firing is all that's announced, which is what I expect, its the step that needs to be made so the job is publicly open and allows Gruden to publicly accept!!

I'm in Frankfort barely off i-64, one of you guys should pick me up on way to Troy game, haha. I lived in Louisville from 01-06 and came back to Ky in 09. Other than that, Knoxville is what I know. Hard being Vol fan round here isnt it?

Louisville fans give me as hard a time as the UK fans do, which suprised me.

Basketball season is hell.

IMO Dooley resigns tomorrow, Chaney named interim. We win out, including bowl game. Hire big name coach, Chaney stays on as asst. head coach and Pittman, Graham, Hinshaw, and possibly one other stay.

I don't think Chaney staying is a good thing at all.

I doubt Chaney stays on, but I could see Graham, Pittman, and even possibly Sunseri stay on. (Gruden and Sunseri are friends and coached together at Pitt.)

I think Chaney is unlikely to be named interim because he's got to be in the box for games. I could see someone like Hinshaw or Sunseri being named interim. This is JMO.

I hope that Gruden keeps Graham and Pittman on staff...They are the two best coaches on the staff b/c there has been significant improvement in our our running game and O-line.

Basketball season is hell.

The Card fans talked so much smack in Petrino years about their record vs ours. In 2001, I knew people promising UL was better than UT, got worse in 02. That C-USA thing was lost on them. Their lack of CFB knowledge was sad and confusing.
