His text wasnt clear which was being announced monday, could be dooley gone which is what everyone is saying would happen if Gruden accepted job. But he did confirm that Gruden has accepted the job, hence the presser probably for dooley. Don't know for sure but it would stand to reason that Gruden will be announced over the next couple of days.

Skeet said he got a text earlier thats its on for monday. I texted my friend in the ad's office and while we were talking that also recieved text saying noon tomorrow, gruden had 3 offers on table, he accepted 7 years, 40 million dollars.

I am hoping skeeter got the same info :)

Could he know Dooley is gone at the end of the year, and will accept the offer after the season is over?

I think if Gruden had accepted they'd still wait to announce. With his ESPN contract and all that. I'm sure there's a buyout on that contract as well.

If these rumors are true I would be furious that boosters and athletic department employees can't keep their mouth shut. Seriously, as a Tennessee fan do you want the handful of people who actually know something to run their mouth to some jack-wagon who is going to post it on the internet?

I don't believe these rumors are true, I am just saying I want a little professionalism out of our athletic department and boosters.

I believe he's saying there were 3 different offers to JG. Probably varied by length, total comp, etc

exactly, 5 yrs for 31 was also offered.

look people this falls in line with everything all of the "reliable" posters have said. There would be a hard push this weekend and hart would only announce if he had his guy

I would imagine deafening silence leading up to the Gruden presser.

1 of 3 offers on the table? Yet there's a press conference scheduled.

I'll choose not to believe this rumor. It's been going around.

It's like a high school commitment. instead of 3 hats to choose from, he will have 3 offers in front of him and choose one when declaring his commitment to the University of TN. Hope he doesn't pull a psych out and put on a Browns hat.

Title makes this seem as If the AD had released this news. I'll believe it when I see it.

typically we've been good at keeping our holes shut. Those talking will hopefully forego relationships.

Yeah, but where's the fun in that? What would we do without all this stuff? Ogle over how good our team is?

I have gotten that Dooley is out as of tomorrow. I have a very limited source ..so no other info from my side.

I agree they both will not be announced at the same time but if what I hear is correct the conversation with Gruden started in a very informal way before the season even started. This did not start just a few days ago regardless. IF there is an announcement tomorrow it will concern Dooley and if he has been let go or resigns, Gruden is our next coach without a doubt.

I'm so sick of all thes "per my guy in the AD's office" posts. I'm not discrediting your information, but I am choosing to be skeptical at this time. I want something, anything really, in print. Even if it's just confirmation that there is in fact an announcement coming from Hart sometime tomorrow. My brain can't handle much more speculation.

That's all your going to get on this website. Dave Hart is not going to make an account and start posting concrete info on a message board. Appreciate the info, enjoy it, but also take it with a grain of salt. It's all in good fun. I know one thing. When "sources" in the AD Office say a player is about to be the next commitment, it usually happens. Where there is smoke there is fire. Chill out and enjoy the ride.

I think it could go down a few different ways:

1. Dooley accepts he isn't returning and coaches the rest if the year.

2. Dooley shows his @$$ after finding out he isn't returning, which leads to his immediate departure and an interim coach.

I'll trust my "inside the AD" source, Dave Hart, and he's (publicly) said or texted me nothing.
