well i agree that MNF would be a grand entrance to the college world of football and to many it would prove ESPN DOES NOT hate us...

Yes, but I do accept your point as well. If Gruden takes this job, ESPN will set up a satellite campus in Knoxville. Peyton Manning may even get his Heisman back

same here as well. i want it all to happen so badly but i just cant convince myself that it will. at least now peyton is about to play so it gives me something to take my mind off of it for a bit.

Exact same meds I'm on. All this just seems 2 good 2 be true & all this would be 2 much good going my way. If it weren't 4 bad luck then I wouldn't have any.

I think their is nothing wrong with it if Gruden is indeed our next coach. But wouldn't you prefer Gruden to come to UT and his first appearance of the next coach of the Vols be not at a MNF game but at Neyland stadium, where his coaching career got started?

No. MNF would be too sweet

Honestly I think the defense would play better without Sal over there distracting them with all his silly hand gestures.

Who cares?

Would be a huge splash for UT and would just be awesome in general and better then hearing it from Jimmy Hyams at 11:45 AM on a Thursday morning.

if Gruden is indeed the next coach as some say, i know that ESPN will be all over the campus, it will be a resurgence only the Romans have experienced. People thought Saban to Alabama was a big deal, holy ****, Gruden to UT would be even bigger, if not the biggest hire in CFB to date. thats what makes this so head scratching.

Brice and Lowe on 104.5 and said 100% not until the end of the season. Gruden has said he will listen but has been known to leave people at the alter before, their quote was just ask ND. Said hart has not made a decision.

I agree on the Hyams part. But I'd rather be sitting in the seats watching Gruden grin with his wife to the side.

If Gruden does indeed become the next coach at UT, who will ESPN choose to replace Jon in the booth with Tirico?

I'm assuming its 3rd and Chavis.

Would be shocking. Dont see any coach wanting to walk in to that position if DD were to stay. All of this hot seat business another year but even worse. The only positive from Chavis' side would be maybe a chance to be interim if DD got fired mid season? Even so, I doubt DD stays, and especially that Chavis would return. I feel I should remind everyone yet again that I know absolutely nothing that matters, so....

And he'll do that either way.

Doesn't matter. The opening press conference will be at UT. Who cares where we hear it?
