I fear if Dooley isn't gone today or tomorrow, then the Gruden hire is a pipe dream. SBV, Jay, Boro, and DTO have said after USC for a couple of weeks now, and now I see DTO saying don't be surprised to see Dooley coach Troy.. I just don't think you can justify lettin that happen if you're Hart. If it does happen I think we're screwed and the program is in for 5-7 more years of mediocrity. Hopefully the insiders are not backtracking on their previous statements about Dooley getting fired after USC.

I agree with your comment about people being disappointed and I also strongly agree that there are coaches out there who could come here and do an amazing job...that is what Tennessee needs and deserves. Fans are demanding change and they are demanding it in a big way..Aka Gruden! :)

Mullen? Holgerson? Nah. Better than Dooley, but not saying much.

I just dont understand the reasons why ne body would want to keep Dooley? 4 sec wins in 2 and 1/2 years? really? never beat a ranked team? This team has enough talent to be a top sec team and to let all of that talent go to waste im sure its not all on the coaches or dooley but the head coach has to take the fall! LETS GO ALL IN FOR GRUDEN!!!!!!!!

I posted the record for 1992.

I will repeat.

TN was 5-3 when Majors was fired

Fulmer was 3-0 as the intermin coach due to Majors being out with heart surgery.

Majors returned, went 2-3 and wad fired.

I've never seen such a roller coaster of emotions. He's coming, he's not, blah blah blah. Most everyone that has said Dooley is fired and Gruden is his replacement said it will come Sunday or Monday after the USCe game. It's just after 10 am Sunday. Why not chill and let it play out. I don't wanna be let down just like everyone else but spazzing out isn't gonna help.

I hope you have set your post count per page to 50..When I first started on these Gruden threads, I had to catch up on 97 pages and that was before I switched over to 50 posts/page.:crazy:

I agree with you on that Fulmer won the first 3 games. I know, I was at every game in Neyland that season. This has no bearing on the topic at hand. Let's agree to disagree who gets credit for wins in 1992.

Yeah either it will happen or it won't. Btw what broke the camels back for you on Dooley? I know you backed him 100% to the end. Which is honorable I might add.

I just go to the last page and read what the latest is.
It appears the latest is the same info we had several days ago.

I actually had to do that this week when I was out of town b/c staying caught up was nearly impossible..It was pretty crazy those days.:loco:
