I want to know who these people's friends are that start these rumors and are sure about enough to call it a "done deal" on message boards.

Are the posters just looking for attention? Or do they really have people that are telling them these things?

If they do have people telling them these things, are those people playing tricks or looking for attention, or do they REALLY know it's true?

If it turns out to be not true, why were they so sure in the first place?

So many questions, so little answers...

When the community, fan base, and even players turn on a head coach.. there is only one way to go. I hate it for Dooley, but he's had his chances. He has the talent and depth, and we have been in it in every game. The difference in a winning coach is he pulls those games out in the last few minutes. Dooley cannot close. He set a great foundation for the future, and for that I thank him. BUT, it's time to pay the bucks to get a guy in here and energize this program. A big name like Gruden would sell every seat in the stadium for next year. We've already lost over 15 mil in ticket sales. The madness must stop..

There in lies the whole issue...some believe with every fiber of there being gruden is the man, others LIKE myself say give DD more time to get things done. Arguments and facts and alot of rumor/opinion have been plastered all over the boards. The true fact is myself nor anyone else knows what really is going to happen. My best case scenario is DD turns it around in 2013. Whether it happens or not I believe we are all UT fans and just want the best for Tenn football. If DD does go ill support whomever the coach is. I just believe DD can get it done.

I think he wants back into coaching, but Gruden is not talking to anybody about a job that still has a head coach employed.

I think he does too but he's been out of coaching for 4 years, I don't think he's the savior most believe him to be. IMO

If I were him I would see if Gruden would sign that pretty white stool before I left.

IMHO DD's signature will be worth more then Grudens when it's all said and done. Least I hope so anyway. Go ahead blast away :eek:hmy:

I would say give Dooley more time as well if it wasn't for the fact that over the past three years I have seen the coaches administration of games look like 9 year olds running a board meeting. Sadly it appears to be a trend that I have little faith in being broken with the current HC. Personally I want a coach that has ties to the University; those have always done the school good in the past. If we can't have that then for the love of six pound 8 ounce little infant baby Jesus at least get a coach with a winning record!!

How at this point anyone can't see that Dooley is in over his head is beyond me. Giving him more time will accomplish nothing more than being buried into a hole we may never get out of. Believe in him all that you want but the fact is he cannot coach. I understand supporting him because he is the coach of our team but there comes a time where you just have to face reality and realize he is what he is. That is not a head coach that belongs at Tennessee.

You can quit the drama. UT will not fall into a hole we cannot get out of. I am not saying Dooley is the right man for the job, and I'm not saying he isn't. But a few things are for certain - Dooley has brought stability to the program. His recruiting has been damn good considering all that he's been up against. He has dismissed bad apples and upgraded the apples he has. In short, this fanbase has called him an ******* - yes on this forum. How many other names he has been called, you go count them. In my opinion, this fanbase is an ungrateful clot of fickle snots that demand win at all cost's. Let me ask you this - If you were a member of the 2012 team, and felt the HC was doing a good job, how would you feel playing in front of the classless clot?

I sincerely hope that there is no one on the field or the sideline that feels like anyone is doing a good job.

I've seen more inexplicable and embarrassing things in the past 3 years than I have ever seen on a football field.

You cant call the fans fickle when the program hasnt beaten a single decent team in years.

I was with you until that display in Starkville. That game was 100% on the coaches. They knew it and still didn't have a gameplan to win.

We can't tackle, our secondary doesn't seem to grasp even basic, fundamental technique, our players are out of position nearly every play, we have no pass rush, we make every qb we play look like a heisman candidate, our special teams are stunningly bad, our play calling is appalling, I can go on.

The bottom line is that our coaches have been out coached in every game. We consistently give up 17 easy points before we even get a chance to play. It hasn't been fixed. We are not getting beat on talent anymore. That is just a fact. We are getting out coached, and by some margin too.

If that hasn't been fixed by now, it never will.
