Recruiting focuses your attention on 50 players max & you are competing and trying to guess the intentions of perhaps 5 other schools.
draft prep requires looking at 100s of players and guessing the intentions of 32 other teams plus evaluating it ***ainst filling needs with free agents. Drafts are much more in depth than recruiting.
even if you call that a wash, NFL has combines, free agency prep, OTA, Mini-Camp, a pre-season twice as long as college and a 30-60 day longer regular season.
think about just away games. college coach leaves Friday afternoon or saturday morning for a game. gets home saturday night then sunday does his show and spends the day at home or with family. 2 hr practice monday morning then the players are gone for the day. He does this 4-5x/year.
nfl coach leaves his house saturday morning for a game. doesn't get back till late Sunday night, then goes back to the office to prepare film for Monday morning & prepping for the next week. Players are there all day reviewing film. Tuesday & Wednesday is practice & game planning. It's Thursday before he sees his family. He does this 8-10x/year.
UT probably has out around 200 maybe more offers out right now for this class and next.
