Because we're all looking for a reason to believe. Unfortunately, none of it meshes with anything said outside VN.

I'm keeping the faith and I won't lie, I'll be massively disappointed if we don't get Gruden at this point.

I asked this yesterday, but nobody responded.

For those that are 100% positive, are you 100% Gruden is listening.....or 100% positive he is coming here?

Things are kind of vague.

You are 100% correct! they are a very small group.....I mean SMALL handful. In fact, 1 hand will suffice and they are Gathering Monday.

I just did. And honestly....I'm not here to convince anyone.

The fact is several on here....DTO, JayVols, OldVol specifically, know where my source came from. I also know theirs. Our information has lined up on this for two weeks....even as it changes.

Believe it or not....discount me it don't. I don't care. I am nobody, and have zero influence. But there are those on here that know what I've said on this to be accurate.

and people like me aren't? I've read plenty of posts from people with sources in the 2+ Gruden threads and have made my own evals on who has info and who is simply regurgitating what others have said. Some have a history and some don't. However I don't feel the need to call any of them out (except for the ones that have trolled VN before).

Like I said earlier, enjoy the ride and take it for what it is. You'll be much happier

SBV and OCI seem to be 100%. The others vary. With the general consensus of the odds being better than 50% substantially

They are 100% sure he has agreed to terms and will be the next Head football coach at Tennessee.

Well, the other way to look at it is, even if ALL the past rumors were true, they all fell through at the end.

So this one could too. So, making a ban bet with yourself is just ridiculous.

The tract record of a source has a little bit to do with believing or not. I want to believe but the tract record here is reason to tread lightly. Of course there are others to consider.

I'm trying hard to remain pessimistic about Gruden and convince myself of all the upside if Dooley is fired and we don't get Gruden. It sounds like Hart will get a "home run hire," whether it's Gruden or not.

I'm in the believe camp because the AD has said squat. If DD had any thread left of tenure they'd be squashing this like a plague carrying flea. My bigger question is when we get him if it's a 10 year bank buster of a deal are we gonna ever achieve or even come close to people's expectations of a deal and a name like his? You tell me 7-10 years and 5 million per and I immediately believe that ought to buy us 2 NC's and 3-4 Sec appearances.
