Here's a thought... Stop believing anonymous posters...

I've seen so many people hate on members of the media for "not having sources" or being "butt hurt" because they weren't the ones to break the story while in all reality, they are the ones being responsible by staying quite until they can cite a legitimate source.

It's absolutely asinine to believe some who goes to church with a friend, who works with someone who knows Gruden's mother-in-law. Sure they may be right but if not you'll feel like a sucker. I'm waiting for an official announcement. Anything else is just masterbation.

The NFL is stocked with full grown men.
Along with them being full grown men they are the cream of the CFB crop.
The worst player on the worst NFL team would be a star in CFB.
NFL coaches don't work nearly as hard as college coaches because NFL players are consummate pros allowing the coaches to scout oppositions and form game plans.
NFL coaches can actually rely on their players to know the play book and push themselves.
Weekly game plans in the NFL are more about adjusting the system for their new opponent while college coaches are using new plays every week.
NFL coaches going CFB are overwhelmed by system implementation, scouting, watching highschool game tapes, making calls and visits to recruits.
The high school football pool is vastly larger than the mostly baren D1 CFB landscape.

I normally would agree with you , but too many "insiders" are saying the same thing and most have different sources. There is too much smoke for there to be nothing to it.

At the end of the day , believe what you want to believe. Either way , Dooley is gone unless an act of God happens in the next few weeks.

University leaking money because football is down. Every week is a disaster and the fans are restless. NOT ONE WORD out ad office this week. Billionaires gathered at Bama game to watch a nightmare and anti-Grudenites are expecting us to believe that nothing is in the works? Come on guys my spidey senses are tingling. The thing I hear repeated over and over is Gruden is strictly a pro guy yet not one word out of his mouth ever has suggested that. See Inside Sports interview. I choose to believe that the Grudenites are more in tune with what is happening right now. The naysayers are too used to UT being a dumpster fire that they can't open their eyes that boosters maybe have had enough and willing to throw money at the problem. I say this having been one of those people laughing at anyone suggesting Gruden would come here for the last 4 years.

When the media is reporting that Manning is helping with $ , something is going to happen. Anyone see that picture of him and Dooley? Looked like they were having a great talk. :ermm:

I enjoy the excitement of hearing the rumors... It's really fun to stir up hope for a bright future but I'm not going to be the guy with egg on his face if someone is wrong. And Im certainly not going to attack someone for doing their job. People need to realize that folks like OCI can say what they want. Media members' livelihoods depends on being certain.

Its great that some people on here are connected. I love the insider information but lets TIFWIW.

Nothing against OCI , but he isn't the source for what I have been told. And for all I know , they all could be wrong , but I still beileve at this point. FWIW

I havent been following close enough to know who has said what, I just get the impression that people put a lot of stock into what OCI posts so that's the example I used...
