me like. So he would leave USC after 1 year for lateral move? I know he loves UT just wondered if he would leave a there so soon. (I would say USC will drop off with scholly reductions starting to make an impact so that would factor in I guess)

Bates as OC would be nice. You mention Morris, if (and I believe yall who say Gruden is in) but if it wasnt Gruden, would Morris be on the radar?

Please excuse me while I continue to vent, I have years of pent up frustration.

I was talking to Dooley apologists today who told me that I should just accept the fact that Tennessee would never be relevant again. We should just be happy with 8-4 maybe 9-3. I refuse to accept that, we are Tennessee, a very proud program.
# 9 in wins all time
#10 all time win %
# 2 in bowl appearances and bowl victories
6 national championships
14 SEC championships
4 Heisman runner ups (two should have won it)

We don't have to settle. I remember people saying Alabama's best days were gone, but what did they do? They paid for a stud coach and look what happened. We should do the same, give Gruden whatever he wants to get him here and better days are ahead.

My wife questioned why I can't put my iPhone down tonight despite drink after drink of rum and coke she makes for me. She doesn't understand what is on line. Years of mediocre versus years of whipping ass in the SEC. It is time for a new era of Tennessee football. The 90's? Just wait until you see what Tennessee does following the leadership of a new coach that has been to the promise land. My fellow Vol fans the end is near if you are a Flordia or Bama fan. God's chosen coach has come home, and on the seventh day Gruden rested.

How did I type that given what I have drunk tonight?
