As I've said before, If We can't get Gruden then We should throw the check book at Chris Peterson...You can not deny the guy is a winner...And a good one!...He would be perfect in the SEC with his style of offense.

I am a long time reader, first time poster to this forum. I have been a die hard Tennessee fan since I attended my first game at Neyland Stadium in 1975 when I was 4 years old.

I cannot accept this pathetic excuse for a coach any longer. I am sick of the Dooley apologists and their excuses. I am sick of the Dooley apologists telling more that I don't love UT football because I demand a change.

I am sick of just HOPING we can beat teams like Miss St,Ole Miss, Vandy, Kentucky,South Carolina, etc instead EXPECTING to destroy them. I am sick of just hoping we can keep it close. And worst of all, I hate the fact that spend all week dreading Saturdays rather than having that " I can't wait until Saturday" feeling.

It hurts me each time this team loses, but what hurts the most is the fact That I know we are going to lose when faced with good competition. I just can't take it anymore.

Welcome to VN....:hi:

Great first post! Welcome to posting at VN! :hi:

At this point, the only real discussion should be who is going to be on Gruden's staff.

We can ask babyavi when he gets done playing scrabble with Gruden, Haslam, and Peyton. Gruds won with a combo word of volforlife. Peyton said its not a word. Haslam said it is in his contract.

Amen. If we don't land a home run hire this time, whether it's Gruden or someone else, then I will find it very difficult to continue supporting this program to the level I have in the past.

I will never stop loving and supporting the Vols but I refuse to spend $200-300 going to Knoxville to support a sub par product when I can watch it in HD at home for free. I remember storming out of Neyland vowing to never come back until Randy Sanders was replaced.

Next time I made the trip I was subjected to the clawfense. I was all in with Kiffen and his staff just to have my heart ripped out of may chest and stomped on. Then I have to suffer through the Dooley years. Not only should he not have been hired, he should not even have been interviewed.

We are Tennessee, we shouldn't interview and hire a guy with a losing record at La Tech. Hamilton shouldn't have been allowed to make the hire knowing the hot water he was in.

Can you tell that I am very bitter right now?
