At the possibility of irking some of you, if Dooley goes 7-5, goes to a bowl and wins, being a lawyer by training he'll argue for a contract extension and prolly get it based on this year's progress over last. He'll also tout the rankings of the teams he has lost too. Lastly, he'll stroke the fires of the dismantling of a promising recruiting class in '13 if he's replaced.

Ask yourself bout this 2-year run and substitute another coach/school and ask yourself - would you fire the coach? To go from 5-7 to 7-5 with a bowl win? I believe most would say "No". Given him another year to get to 9+ wins.

You may not agree, but remove the emotionalism and look at it objectively. We ALL want to win - yesterday. Being a Vol fan since '74 I certainly understand.

Not getting to 8 wins with this team is grounds enough for firing; and I was pro-dooley at the start of the year. We just look bad, I don't know what else can be said. We have never once looked like a well coached complete football team IMO.

I'll take CDD over Chizik any day. Flame away, but I think he is much smarter and has a much better football IQ and vision. I said to some of my Barn friends that CGC would be fired within 3 years after eithe Cam or Malzahn left. I think he's about to prove me right.

There is no point in keeping him. When Bray, Patterson, Hunter, and most of the offensive line leave, Dooley is screwed. Dooley is not aggressive enough in this league just to survive, let alone win the big games. I'm done paying hundreds of dollars every year for tickets just to see us gain a moral victory and see mediocrity. The doolaid has been spilled on the counter and needs to be wiped up. Good lord, he even looks like he's given up. Here comes another rant. Tyler Bray has no discipline whatsoever. He throws the ball wherever and whenever he wants to. Him being the "leader" he supposedly is skipped out on a press conference just because he felt bad. And now, after 3 years, Dooley decides that Bray is too loose with the ball and he "might" bench him if he keeps it up. I am now ready for the Doolites to attack me. :gun:

Yeah..and their coach just won a NC (very recently)....most teams have a couple of down seasons after winning the NC...or at least an average season...ours has a overall losing record between 2 schools

Look at Miss St Mullen's, he lost all those games the last three years there, I guess now he's winning all those games, it's nice when you can have a few recruiting cycles under your belt. Give it a rest all you naysayers.

Most of the AU fans I work with want him fired and that was there last NC in 50 years, lol.

1 - 6 is their worst start in 60 years I believe.

I am a VOL fan and have been since the shuler days, we have allowed ourselves to be satisfied crappy seasons and a coach that was not near qualified for the job. I like Dools nothing against him, would you turn down several million for the job he is doing!

Not to mention AU does not have half the tradition or history as Tenn.

There is a little difference between a National Championship and a SEC east "championship" , plus a downward trend was starting to become clear. :hi:
