I believe our viewpoint of what the media says today is different than our viewpoint earlier in the week, solely because a few "insiders" proclaimed yesterday that we had reached an agreement with the man in whose honor three huge threads have been dedicated.

Take Low's comments for example. Going by what was posted here, it sounds like he is saying pretty much the same thing he said on the podcast last week that got people excited. Last week, he was acknowledging that Gruden is a possibility but hedging his bet. Today, he wasn't confirming the story that "broke" on VN yesterday.

Once this thread dies back down to the longtime regulars, it will be business as usual, until we reach Monday with no announcement. Then, it'll be back into a nervous frenzy.

Just relax everyone. Ask yourselves this, is the AD denying any of the Gruden talk? It's all over local and national media. Is the AD denying Dooley being fired? All over the media too.

I'm not backing away one inch from my statements. Boro, Jay, OV aren't either. The fact is, there is nothing left to say.

Time for the AD and BOT to get serious on the resurection of the football program, if the big money boosters have pledged their dollars to the cause and nothing happens. All members of the BOT and Hart need to have moving trucks at their offices on campus.

If the rumor makes USA Today one would think the AD or Gruden would deny it. Maybe they still will but Hart would know that as fans get their hope up more and more that it would just look bad on him if he ended up hiring Spike Dykes! HA!

On the contrary, I'd take Dooley over John L Smith and Joker any day. Right now, I'd take him over Chizik also.

Not sold on Franklin, or the guy at MIssouri or Ole MIss.

So maybe he's only the 5th or 6th worse....how's that for a vote of confidence! :)

At the risk of just adding another month to everyone's fantasy, that makes sense, because I doubt the NCAA would be excited about a college coach hosting MNF every week. I don't know for sure that it's against NCAA rules, but it seems like it would be.

Whether or not an announcement on CDD comes next week, things are going to get progressively crazier.

Yeah the ole e-cred deal...I know. I am holding on to what was posted earlier by a couple or three guys I have found credible and think they are not going to re-post anything new for a while.

I think the best thing to do is stay calm (if I can) and see what happens on Monday.
