Not saying anyone is making things up and I hope those saying it'll happen is 100% right.

I think Dooley is done, but in no way do I believe that a deal with Gruden is done. I hope by all accounts that I am wrong, but I just don't see how that is plausible right now.

I said the same thing, but eff it. Its impossible not to get emotionally invested in it. Just embrace it.

I keep picturing Gruden facing the team just before they run out of the tunnel and through the T...the look on his face...team jumping like crazy...

Yeah, I'm all in.

Alot of rumblings and upset boosters. But, one in particular said not one of them has stepped up to the plate and commit to pay the buyout.

That statement gives credibility they have been asked about it.

But, it also shows no one so far is willing to do it. After the USCjr game, perhaps someone gets ready to do so. However, this makes me feel nothing has happened with Gruden except some calls to see if interested. TIFWIW

But, I had this convo with someone who does know a booster very wellt

People get too hung up on 100%. Then they get excited, then they se naysayers on the board, then they freak out, then some media type says something to the contrary as everyone said they would, then all of a sudden he is not coming.

Its too funny to be honest. There is nothing much more to say really, now its just wait and see if everything happens the way so many have heard it would.

I have seen a lot that say Dooley not being let go after SC game would mean no Gruden, thats just not the case. No one knows anything about an exact timeline that I have heard. More things like "Most Likely" and "If he loses to SC' in terms of a specific timeline. Dooley is gone, I am 100% convinced of that but no more than 50-50 on a timeline in my mind.

OCI pretty much nailed it earlier imo.

I feel ya.. im getting too emotionally involved.. my kids have always said i take this UT stuff way too seriously!!!.. whenever we lose, im hurts till at least wednesday.. and i wont talk to anyone.. i guess, i just gotta step back and let nature take its course..

One thing is for sure, we have the second worse HC in the SEC and I am sick and tired of seeing other SEC teams highlights against the Vols. Time for the AD and BOT to get serious on the resurection of the football program, if the big money boosters have pledged their dollars to the cause and nothing happens. All members of the BOT and Hart need to have moving trucks at their offices on campus.

Hate to bring it up, but I went absolutely crazy when the players came before the SC game in 09. Place was going crazy after they saw the black jerseys. Players jumping up and down. I was so pumped. If Gruden does come I feel that same excitement coming back.
