There's no if to Dooley, he is gone. And no it wont cost the University. There's plenty of donors that. are willing to pay that. Im guessing after we lose to SC then he gets fired very quickly after. The team is in shambles and dont like or want to play for him. I hope Gruden is the next coach but if not Hart will find an adequate replacement. Kind of a Pansy thing to do with calling Ainge an addict. Call it to his face instead of a message board. He's clean now and has a good show. Really doubtful you have sources, im gonna trust Ainge's over yours.
Lots of emails to me regarding the timeline of Dooley's firing and Gruden's hiring. To start, UT will not have two head coaches under contract at the same time. Thus, Dooley's official firing will take place first. The earliest Dooley will be fired is Sunday. The latest is the week after the UK game. This all depends on how stubborn Dooley is and whether he's willing to negotiate a reduced buyout (due to alleged breaches of his employment contract with UT). Again, it's not a question of "if" but when.
Within a few days, at most, after Dooley's contract being terminated, UT will announce Gruden as the next head coach. The contract terms have already been agreed upon in principle. Don't expect to hear anything concrete from the "media" or directly from UTAD until Dooley is fired.
Boro Vol.
Just like you guys said it would be. Smokescreens, more media picking up on it this week, and silence. Have not seen the original Grudenites posting much, alot of new posters on this thread. Where is Smokey? Still feel good about Gruden?
No, it wasn't. The only connection Shannon EVER had with the UT DC job was his agent putting his name out there to media. Period. He wasn't contacted formally or informally. Dooley's ego didn't have the chance to get in the way because he was never on Dooley or Dave Hart's list.
Shannon was "having discussions" with every DC opening last season. He was so strongly considered for all of those jobs that he ended up taking a job as a position coach at TCU 2 weeks before fall came. Come on.
If you want to continue to live in message board fantasy land on Randy Shannon, you're welcome to, but you're absolutely, completely wrong.

go back and read my post on Ainge and what he said on the air about another QB.
Also, I dont claim to have "sources". I know people who played for UT and are still connected to the program. And none of them are making idiotic claims about knowing Gruden is coming to UT.
Ainge isnt claiming to have "sources". He's just blathering on about some conversation he had with Gruden that somehow means Gruden is for sure coming to UT?
I'll wait to hear what Ainge has to say when Gruden isn't hired.
